niche platform that invites users to
create professional profiles. These
profiles are the centre of activities on
the platform and so engage specific
kinds of users.
Presence
A sense of life, vibrancy, and activity.
Platforms today are built to allow
instantaneous picture or multimedia
uploads and sharing. For users, a
collation of present and past actions
sums up to their reputation on the
platform.
Relationships
This concerns how the platform
is designed to recognize, identify
and connect people that users care
about. Family members, customers,
contacts, etc., form important
relationship circles, and a good
platform allows them to be as close
and connected to users online as they
are offline.
