The award ceremony w i l l take place d u r i n g the opening show dinner on Saturday, February 1 , 2014. The design trio that comprises Rhyme & Reason, Vahe Ghazarian, Esin Guler and Mihran Guler (originally named G & G Creations) is honored to receive this award in recognition of their potential w i t h i n the fine jewelry industry. The Emerging Designer A w a r d w i l l be the second award given to these three talented artists d u r i n g the last 12 months. "This award is such an honor and privilege for us. It is a dream come true in many ways," states Esin Guler, the only female of the trio. "We feel that our little family, with our new name and brand positioning, is now ready to have a-placeat the table in this industry full of talent." Jim DeMattei, President/CEO of ViewPoint has been a key figure i n assembling the 'dream team' to help bring Rhyme & Reason to the marketplace since his involvement w i t h the design house i n 2013. Under DeMattei's direction, the designers were challenged during the last year to find their true design identity w i t h i n an everchanging marketplace. Merchandising expert Laura Brown, f r o m Elbee Strategic, branding guru's M a r k and Julie Koch of Alternatives and DeMattei's staff of Sales & Marketing executives at ViewPoint and Studio PR came together to help the trio focus on the brand's strengths and fine-tuned design direction. "The name change to Rhyme & Reason is a manifestation of the acceptance and commitment to the designer trio's neiv focus and direction. We've been hard at xvork laying the ground work for the strategic positioning of the brand for 2014," states DeMattei. Combining their personal strengths and skills, Vahe Ghazarian, Esin Guler and Mihran Guler have come together as artists, rather than traditional jewelers. Each creation, melded i n 24K gold and sterling silver, is approached w i t h a ' r o u n d table' method. I n the design arena, Vahe and Esin incorporate free f o r m nature themes and organic patterns into the framework of the jewelry. Master stone setter M i h r a n delicately and intensely chooses the diamonds and gems that w i l l artfully be handcrafted into each one. Launching for 2014 w i l l be the Sacred Story bridal line and three new collections: Swirls, Cut Outs and Imprints. Price points for the new collections w i l l range f r o m $400 to $20,000. The brother and sister duo, Esin and Mihran, along w i t h Vahe Ghazarian, who is also a sculptor and a painter, are most proud of creating custom hand-crafted jewelry made i n America.
