Serra Club of Houston hosts Bishop Camillo Ballin of Northern Arabia Serra Club of Houston recently hosted Bishop Camillo Ballin, the Roman Catholic Vicar Apostolic of the Apostolic Vicariate of Northern Arabia. Bishop Ballin is the local Bishop shepherding the 1.2 million Roman Catholics in Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, and Saudi Arabia. Bishop Ballin offered Mass and then joined members for our monthly 1st Friday lunch. Bishop shared with members the challenges, joys, and hopes of serving the people of God in Northern Arabia. Pray for him, Catholics in the region, and for success as he seeks to build a new Cathedral Center that will become a place of formation, prayer, and pilgrimage. Be sure to attend our next First Friday gathering on April 4! Prayer before the Blessed Sacrament for Vocations At the heart of the mission of the SERRA Club is prayer for RS Upcoming Events vocations to the priesthood and consecrated religious life. You April 3, 2014 pray that God provide an abundance of men and women who hear and respond to God’s call to religious life and the priesthood. To participate in the “World Day of Prayer for Guadalupe Radio GalaCathedral Center April 4, 2014 - Noon First Friday Mass and Lunch at Holy Rosary April 12, 2014 - Noon Serra Club Leadership Conference at St. Anne’s Catholic Church are invited to come join your fellow Serrans, fellow Catholics from our Archdiocese, and Catholics all around the world to Vocations,” the vocations office is sponsoring a day of prayer before Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament at Saint Mary’s Seminary! The Serra Club has a time slot of 11:00-12:00 on Sunday May 4, but if that time is inconvenient you are encouraged to stop by anytime from 10:45-5:00 to pray for vocations.
