Drop Dance Intensive th th March 19 & 20 Alexie Agdeppa Alexie Agdeppa's passion is only rivaled by her ambition and dedication when it comes to dance. She began dancing at the age of 4 in her hometown of Rowland Heights, CA. She grew up training at local dance studios and performing in the competition circuit. Alexie was introduced to the entertainment industry at the early age of 6, by her teacher and mentor Tina D'Amato Sidoni, when she performed on Star Search with "The Hip-Hop Kids". From that point on she continued performing at competitions and assisting Tina on conventions while at the same time auditioning, booking, and being represented by some of the top talent agencies in Los Angeles. In the competition world she has won several national championships and titles, in the entertainment industry she has appeared on commercials and industrials for Cannon, Disney, Payless, JC Penny, Nissan, Nordstroms, and Reebok; music videos for artists such as Prince, Nelly Furtado, Charice Pempengco, Macy Gray, and the Pussycat Dolls. On film and television some of her credits include the 64th Academy Awards choreographed by Debbie Allen, the Emmy award nominated 84th Academy Awards choreographed and produced by Adam Shankman, "America's Got Talent" with creative director Brian Friedman, Kid Songs, the video series "Guidepost Junction" and as a series regular on "The Huggabug Club", where her talents extended to acting. She has represented the LA Lakers as a LA Laker Girl during 2003-2005 seasons and also in 2005 Alexie added a life changing accomplishment to her resume by graduating from UCLA with a BA in World Arts and Cultures. Most recently Alexie made her way onto the hit Season 7 of "So You Think You Can Dance" as a Top 11 finalist, where she was able to work with choreographers Tessandra Chavez, Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, and Tabitha and Napoleon. Alexie believes "life is short - pursue what makes you feel more alive and in love with life, because what the world needs are people who are more alive". She is grateful to be able to inspire others and equally, loves being inspired. Her way of thanking the universe for her gifts is by giving back; by performing at charity events for the countless issues close to her heart, and teaching or choreographing, close to home, around the country and across countries. When Alexie is not pursuing her irrepressible love for performance she is an avid traveler, a film, fashion and culinary enthusiast, and enjoys making memories with family and friends.
