Using the Yaesu FTFT-7800 with Rigblaster & Echolink:
If you have the separation kit (YSK-7800) for the FT-7800, you can use the included extension cable as-is
and make a quick jumper change in the Rigblaster to use your radio on Echolink. Just plug the cable into
the Rigblaster’s RJ-45 jack and the other end into the mic jack on the radio. Yes, it will fit and there is no
need to cut up your cable or buy the expensive custom cable sold online. This setup should work for any
Yaesu radio with the same mic & 6-pin RJ-11/12 connector. If you don’t have the YSK-7800 separation kit,
you will need to buy a standard 6-conductor RJ-11 / RJ-12 cable, but the Rigblaster setup is the same.
