orthotists and tested in leading teaching
hospitals, RCAI products address the effects
of immobility and neurological conditions
associated with traumatic injuries and
chronic disease, including joint contracture
and pressure sores.
RCAI features the MDI line of orthopedic braces that can be used individually, or
combined as modular systems for post-operative rehab and functional fracture management following injury or post-surgical
procedures. The newest products introduced to the RCAI product line are made of
breathable stretch airprene for the treatment of sports injuries and repetitive stress
injuries.

• Adjustable positioning from 40˚ plantar flexion to 10˚ dorsi flexion in infinite increments, the Phase II provides controlled static stretch for the
correction of plantar flexion contractures.
• A cost effective alternative to serial casting, the Phase II can be removed
for daily range of motion therapy and skin hygiene, enhancing patient
recovery time, eliminating the risk of pressure sores.
• “Floating heel” design eliminates pressure or friction on the heel, enhancing blood circulation vital to healing.
• Canvas reinforced, the anklet of the Phase II can accommodate mild to
moderate muscle tone with resulting spasticity.

The new Dorsi-Flexion MPO by RCAI provides adjustable static stretch of the plantar flexors, treating
neuromuscular involvement conditions such as diminished foot and ankle range of motion, pressure
sores and hip rotation. Medial/lateral straps attached to the sides of the brace allow the foot and ankle
to be controlled, as needed, in the desired dorsi-flexed position prescribed.

USA Boot (Universal Suspension Assist Boot) 100-USAB
The new USA Boot (Universal Suspension Assist Boot) by RCAI gently cradles the foot
to eliminate pressure and friction on the heel. Constructed of contoured foam, the USA
Boot positions the foot and heel to provide positive heel clearance with it’s “floating
heel” design. Pressure is virtually eliminated from this bony prominence, enhancing
blood circulation vital to healing. The open design of the heel allows
wound visualization without removing the boot.
The contoured foam shell of the USA Boot follows the anatomical
curves of the calf, discouraging excess movement in the boot, and possible hyperextension of the knee, as with other elevated foam products.
The liner of the soft USA Boot is made of a breathable, anti-microbial Orthowick material that “wicks” moisture away from the skin, keeping the patient dry and comfortable – an essential factor in good skin
integrity.

Swedish AFO 90SAFO
The Swedish AFO by RCAI provides static dorsifiexion assistance, lateral foot and ankle stability for flaccid extremities, and resistance to mild extensor spasticity. The open heel and calf design of the Swedish AFO limits skin breakdown, offers a cooler alternative to standard AFOs, and allows the brace to fit into any type of shoe. Made of
polyethylene, the calf portion of the Swedish AFO is thicker for rigidity, and padded for patient comfort. The foot plate
is extended, and can be trimmed and spot heated for patient customization.

Achilles tendonitis. Economical and easy to apply, this night splint features adjustable dorsiflexion
assist straps for controlled dorsiflexion, limiting nightly contractures and tightening of the plantar fascia and Achilles tendon. This feature permits flexibility in the treatment of the problem by allowing

knee. Bilateral metal hinges provide stability and protect the knee from medial/lateral forces. The Active Neoprene
Knee provides flexion/ extension settings in 15º increments, with a 10º hyperextension stop setting, and is
suitable for patients with excess swelling
or edema of the knee, geriatric patients,
or patients with difficulty applying traditional knee sleeves. Indicated for post
surgery, following ligamentous injuries,
knee instability, and degenerative joint
disease.
The new hinged Lateral “J” Brace by RCAI is indicated for patellar dislocations, chondromalacia, improper patellar tracking, and post operative
patellar control. It features a tubular lateral “J” buttress to maintain proper
alignment of the patella, while preventing lateral subluxation and dislocation.
Two laterally attached straps are pulled medially for
customized patellar control. Positioned in the medial
and lateral sides of the brace to provide additional
stabilization, are one steel hinge and one flexible
hinge. Made of a breathable, latex-free neoprene, the
brace provides therapeutic warmth while keeping the
skin dry and comfortable.
