Kubota B2910 Mounting Instructions NOTE: Use the following torque specifications for all hardware: ½” hardware 73 ft-lbs, 3/8” hardware 42 ft-lbs, 5/8” hardware 177 ft-lbs. 1. Remove the upper 2-Post ROPS guard (save fasteners to re-use later), rear flasher lights, grab handles, seat & seat track assembly. If tractor is equipped with front end loader, de-tach quik-tach loader and then unbolt hyrdaulic valve mounting plate from loader mast support column. If tractor is equipped with front hydraulics, then unbolt the hydraulic valve mounting plate. Remove the toolbox, and SMV sign and bracket. 2. Take the left rear mounting bracket and slide it over the lower 2-Post ROPS mount socket in the fender. The bracket can only fit one way, and then take the factory hardware and loosely fasten the Figure 1 Figure 2 no-loader spacer (if there is a mid mower, you will not need the spacer). Carefully slide the bracket into place underneath the steering control rod. Take the provided M12x1.75x60 hex bolts and ½” lock washers, and loosely attached the bracket to the bell housing. If the tractor is equipped with loader, then it will be neseccary to remove the three bolts prior to installation. See Figure 3. Figure 3 bracket into place. See Figure 1. 3. Repeat for the right rear mounting bracket. See Figure 2. 4. Take the left front mounting bracket. If there is no loader, you will require the NOTE: All references to left and right are taken from the operator’s point of view when he/she is sitting in the driver’s seat. Kubota B2910 Mounting Instructions Figure 4 5. Repeat for the right front bracket. See Figure 4. Figure 5 behind the seat area. Remove the diptsick and hydraulic speed control knob. Slide the upholstery past the control lever and ensure there is access for the dipstick. Glue the upholstery into place. Re-install the toolbox and the seat when you are done. 7. Now you are ready to install the cab O-rubber. Remove the left door, right escape window and lower right side window. Also, remover the two rear plastic panels for access to mount hardware. Take the two cab lift brackets and bolt bracket onto the upper A-C crossmember through the hole provided right beside the B-post. Attach a chain or lifting strap to the lift brackets and prepare to hoist cab off of shipping pallet. Unbolt the shipping bracket and lift cab off of pallet. Figure 6 6. Take the underseat shield. Position it around the seat track mount area and around the controls. Ensure that the shield will not interfere with the operation of any of the controls. Slit the centre area to provide access to the seat track mounting bolts. Bolt into place under the seat track. See Figure 5. Re-install the seat. Glue the upholstery onto the back fender crossmember 8. Install the cab weatherstripping as shown in the following figures, 6-9. 9. Take the SMV sign bracket and bolt it onto the mount block located underneath the lower C-C crossmember with the provided 3/8” x ¾” flange bolts. NOTE: All references to left and right are taken from the operator’s point of view when he/she is sitting in the driver’s seat. Kubota B2910 Mounting Instructions Figure 7 Figure 8 11. Lift the cab over the tractor. Use Figure 10 as a guide for the proper mount hardware installation. Use the provided ½” x 3” hex bolts, 9/16” x 2 ½” steel flat-washers, 9/16” x 2 ½” rubber flat-washers, 9/16” x 3” rubber isolators, ½” lock washers and ½” hex nuts as mounting hardware. Place one of the rubber isolators on each bracket mount place, and lower the cab straight down onto the tractor. Ensure that the top protrusion on the isolator fits into the cab mount plate hole and attach all mounts bolts. As soon as all bolts have been started, torque all the mounts to the provided specifications. For the rubber isolators, torque the bolts until there is a 7/8” gap between the steel mounting plates. Do not over-tighten rubber mounts! Trimmed washers on front brackets. Figure 10 Figure 9 10. Take the 7/16” snap caps and put into the fender handle holes. 12. Connect the cab electrical as follows. Connect the heavy red wire at the bottom of the A-Post to constant 12V power. Connect the black wire to the tractor ground. Connect the orange wire to a switched power source on the tractor. If the tractor has front hydraulics, take the valve control cover shield and install 180d O-rubber around the cut-out inside of the panel. Install 90d O-rubber around the outside of the shield, with the bulb facing the inside of the radius, see Figure 12. Remove the safety stop cover plate on the hydraulic plate as well and install 90d O-rubber onto the edge of the plate as shown in Figure 13. Take the shield and slide it onto the valve and then reinstall the valve mounting plate onto the loader at the loader subframe, and then install the safety stop mount cover plate onto the hydraulic valve, and then the shield onto the cab frame with the same fasteners that the lower front right window uses. The fit is VERY tight and may take a little way to get all the components fit properly. See Figure 14. Figure 14 attached with the hardware mentioned above for the left light. Take the large round light and insert the light through the hole in the left side panel, then take the other end of the harness and bolt the loop to the light bolt. Take the power harness extension and connect both ends of the harness to the light and the bullet connector. Repeat for the right rear light. See Figures 15 and 16. Figure 15 Figure 13 14. To provide better access, unbolt the rear tractor tailights before proceeding. Take the two sets of tractor flasher light harnesses and the 3/8” x ¾” flange bolts, and 3/8” flange nuts. Attach the ground harness loop on the chassis hole where the light used to be mounted and NOTE: All references to left and right are taken from the operator’s point of view when he/she is sitting in the driver’s seat. Kubota B2910 Mounting Instructions Figure 16 splicer. REMEMBER to use a silicone sealant on the threads of the fitting! Figure 17 15. Take the smaller triangular light and insert through the hole provided in the left rear plastic panel. Route the wiring through the rubber boot where the rear bracket is located and reconnect the harness. Repeat for the right rear light. Verify that the lights are working properly, and then reinstall the rear panels onto the cab. Figure 18 Proceed with the steps 16-18 only if the cab is equipped with the heater option. 16. Drain the antifreeze from the tractor before proceeding. Locate the plug on the thermostat housing, and unscrew. Take the 3/8NPT-3/8” barb 180d fitting and screw into place (pressure side), REMEMBER to use a silicone sealant on the threads of the fitting! See Figure 17. Locate the the lower radiator hose located beside the filter. Cut out a short section and install the hose splicer as shown in Figure 18 with the provided HS-20 hose clamps. Install the 3/8NPT x 3/8” barb 90d fitting (suction) into the 17. Locate the heater hose coming out of the cab frame at the bottom of the A-post. Route the hoses into the engine compartment, being careful that they do not interfere with any moving parts, tie down as necessary. Using the labels on the hose, route hose to pressure and suction sides, ensure that there is adequate hose to each fitting, and then cut the hose. Attach the hoses to the fittings using the HS-6 hose clamps NOTE: All references to left and right are taken from the operator’s point of view when he/she is sitting in the driver’s seat.
