Originally from Houston, Texas, KRISTIN DIAZ
grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex where
she graduated from the University of North Texas
with a bachelor of arts in Radio/TV/Film. As a former
morning show host of North Texas NOW in Denton,
Kristin was exposed to many fields of the industry
while working at North Texas Television. She
quickly worked her way up from a production assistant to a reporter.
From there she served as their weather anchor for two years and by the
time she left after a 3 year stay, she was an anchor/producer of the
evening newscast. During her time at NTTV, she also worked at KNTU
88.1 as a DJ and anchor/producer for their newscast, The Late Edition.
Simultaneously, Kristin gained experience at KDAF-CW 33 in Dallas
where she worked as a production assistant and also completed an
internship with KXAS-NBC 5.
Her most cherished experience has been studying abroad in London,
England where she studied British Media. Kristin loves to dance and most
recently was a youth dance instructor at a local gym in Lewisville, Texas.
Jane, a native of the Philippines, is the eldest of three children,
whose father is an engineer, and mother a nutritionist. After stops in
Canada, New York and New Jersey, the Monreals headed south to sunny
South Florida where they finally settled. She graduated with honors,
receiving her Bachelors degree in International Finance and Marketing.
After working a summer internship at NBC, Jane moved to Los Angeles
with the intent of entering the business side of entertainment.
A reporter was born when she started producing and delivering traffic
reports on all-news radio station KFWB. Her contribution to the afternoon
newscast garnered her a Golden Mike Award. Shortly after 911, she
became an international correspondent for KFWB, filing reports from
the Philippines on the Abu Sayyaf, a terrorist cell linked to Al-Qaeda.
Jane took a brief break from on-air news and returned to her business
roots to co-found enCompass Entertainment, a production company aimed
at merging original entertainment programming with inspirational themes.
Jane Monreal is happy to be co-anchoring 3 News
First Edition in South Texas, which airs weekdays
from 5-7 a.m.
Jane's broadcasting experience spans over 15 years
in radio and television. She moved to the Coastal
Bend most recently from Denver, where she was a
reporter and anchor at KCNC. Her stories were
featured on CNN and HLN.
Prior to her post in Denver, Jane was a morning fixture on the top
television station in Los Angeles, KABC. In addition to reporting on
breaking news, weather, and traffic, she also covered entertainment
and human interest stories.

ABOUT PAAC
ABOUT THLN
Texas Humane Legislative Network (THLN) is a
nonprofit organization with nine chapters
throughout Texas, including a South Texas
chapter in Corpus Christi, that works for the
enactment and enforcement of laws to protect
animals from neglect and abuse. The organization
works with animal welfare groups throughout Texas to promote the humane
treatment of animals through legislation, education, and advocacy. THLN
monitors proposed legislation that affects animals and animal owners and
provides action alerts for members to engage their help in working with
state legislators. Because of the efforts of THLN, Texas is becoming a safer
place for animals of all species. THLN’s 2013 Legislative Agenda will
include bringing an end to the practice of gas chamber euthanasia in
animal shelters of Texas. THLN continues its campaign to end puppy mill
P.A.A.C. – People Assisting Animal Control is
a 501(c)3 non-profit corporation formed
under the laws of the State of Texas in August
2010. Our mission is to decrease euthanasia of healthy adoptable animals,
raise funds to support The City of Corpus Christi Animal Control and educate
the public on proper animal responsibility.
When you donate to P.A.A.C., your money goes directly to our organization, not Corpus Christi Animal Control. We delegate the funds based on
your specific request or to supply items greatly needed to enhance the quality of life of the animals at the shelter. We pride ourselves on our careful distribution of funding to make sure we are able to help the most animals
possible. Our financial records are available to donors upon request.
P.A.A.C. is comprised of a full board of directors and officers including
president, vice president, treasurer, and secretary. The majority of our
members are business owners who are highly invested in the Corpus Christi
community and welfare of our city.
cruelty statewide.
Please help us pass animal protection laws as well as fight bills that
will harm animals. To sign up for THLN’s action alerts, please visit
www.thln.org. If you would like to volunteer with your Corpus Christi
Chapter, please email [email protected] or call (361) 855-7387.

animals.
• To encourage and facilitate proper veterinary care including
vaccinations, spaying and neutering.
• To support the Corpus Christi Animeals Program that provides food
