Teacher Academy 2015 - 2016 What is the Teacher Academy? The West Virginia Center for Professional Development (WVCPD) Teacher Academy is designed to support veteran and beginning teachers using research-based materials and instructional strategies that refresh and strengthen classroom skills and teaching approaches. Complete Academy information is available at www.wvcpd.org. Who May Participate? Experienced and beginning teachers interested in refreshing or learning teaching strategies that will enhance student engagement and learning are encouraged to participate. To be eligible to apply for three hours of graduate credit in the spring of 2016, participants must complete three course sessions. 1. 2. 3. 4. Once you have selected your sessions, go to the calendar to choose the dates and locations you wish to attend. Teachers may participate in either the December - January session OR the February - March offering. If you are attending the Academy for the first time in the 2015 - 2016 school year, this is an example of what your schedule may look like. 1. 2. 3.
