Effective Merging Solution for Your Operation
The 186M Windrow Merger from RCI Engineering is a
simple, cost-effective solution to merging windrows
together while minimizing dirt and foreign material
in the windrow as can be experienced in raking
operations. The 186M can also function as a very
effective windrow inverter for improved crop drying in
some conditions.
With an effective pickup width of 8 ft. 6 in., the 186M
is the perfect size merger for many operations. But
don’t let its size fool you. This is a hydraulically-driven
merger that can power through difficult conditions,
yet gently handle your crops. The 186M Merger is less
costly than competitive equipment in its size class
and provides more functionality than other merging
equipment options, like wheel or rotary rakes.
The 186M can effectively merge double windrows of
up to 18 ft. swath and triple windrows of 16 ft. swath,
leaving up to a 9 ft. windrow. To allow tripling 16 or
18 ft. swaths, add the optional 2 ft. extension to the
standard 3 ft. extension. That 5 ft. combination results
in a merged windrow of less than 8 ft. wide.
Standard equipment includes hydraulically-driven
pickup and belt motors, reversible belt direction,
adjustable gauge wheels, windguard, 3 ft. conveyor
extension and shut-off valve.
All you need is a 50 PTO hp tractor with an integrated
oil cooler, drawbar and two remote hydraulic valves. It
is recommended that the tractor have flow control, but
there is an available flow control valve option for those
tractors without flow control.

The merger can be operated with the extension in the transport position when merging
narrow windrow configurations.

The tine bars, pickup lift and conveyor belt
motors are hydraulically driven. Hydraulic
motors provide a more constant power
resulting in better crop flow in tough
conditions from pickup to windrow.
Tripling a 16 ft. swath provides up to a 9 ft.
windrow. Adding the optional 2 ft. extension
can reduce that windrow to less than 8 ft.
An n 18 ft. swath can be doubled without the
optional extension.
