With new headlights, enhanced interior elements and a striking new front and rear design, the new Audi A3
range makes an instant impression. Whichever model you choose, you’ll have a high level of equipment as
standard, including cruise control and Audi Smartphone Interface to keep you connected. But it's the latest
technology options that really enable you to make the A3 your own. Like Matrix LED headlights and Audi
Virtual Cockpit, as well as driver assistance systems that watch the road intelligently. These features

No compromise.
As a plug-in hybrid, the new A3 Sportback e-tron combines
the comfort and performance of an Audi with the efficiency
of electric power. As a result, it’s capable of up to 29 miles*
of electric driving on one charge, while still offering the
benefits of a conventional petrol engine for longer journeys.
Efficient hybrid technology isn’t all that makes the A3 Sportback
e-tron special. There’s unique styling, as well as a high level
of equipment as standard, including MMI Navigation Plus,
Audi Connect Infotainment Services (36-month subscription)
and Advanced key. So you’ll benefit from the added features
and efficiency of e-tron, along with all the performance you’d
expect of any other Audi.

The interior of the A3 range surrounds you with refined
materials and luxurious details. As you sit in the driver’s seat,
you’ll see the information you need on the 3.5” full-colour
Driver’s Information System, which can be easily controlled
via a 3-spoke leather multi-function steering wheel. Or for
the flexible display of information tailored to your needs,
upgrade to the optional Audi Virtual Cockpit.

Made for performance.
In the new S3, performance is key. So not only does the
2.0 TFSI engine offer 310PS of power, you can choose from
a manual or S tronic transmission,* offering up to 400 Nm
of torque and a top speed of 155mph.** The S3 range also
features quattro all-wheel drive as standard, to analyse grip
and direct power to where it is needed most.

LED lights

Illuminating features.
The A3’s new optional Matrix LED headlights
produce a light similar in colour to daylight.
They also incorporate sensors and an inbuilt
camera that detects other road users, as well
as ambient light in built-up areas. They then
react by dipping individual LEDs to reduce the
risk of dazzle, while still fully illuminating the
remainder of the road.
Where available, Matrix LED technology
will even use the vehicle’s navigation data
to anticipate corners, adjusting LEDs as you
negotiate the bend. The result is a much
wider visual range, benefitting both you and
other road users. Dynamic sweeping indicators
complete the striking look at the front and rear.

Bring your phone to the fore.
Imagine being able to use your smartphone applications
safely while driving. The Audi Smartphone Interface,
standard across the A3 range, lets you do just that.
Satellite navigation. Music streaming. Your contact list.
Now you can access apps, approved for in-car use by
Android and Apple, from the MMI controls on the A3’s
centre console, and from the multi-function steering wheel.
Simply connect your compatible smartphone via USB*
and approved apps appear in full colour on the central
MMI screen.

The Audi Smartphone Interface makes linking your
smartphone† to your car quick, safe and easy.
With Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, you can access
approved apps* from your phone safely via the A3’s
MMI system. So you can make calls, receive and dictate
messages, navigate, select music and podcasts and
much more without taking your eyes off the road.
You can now use Apple and Google Maps™*
as your navigation system. Turn-by-turn
directions, traffic guidance and estimated
arrival times are easy to see on your MMI
screen without having to touch your
phone – and addresses from your email,
texts, contacts and calendar can be
added as destinations. Don’t forget,
planning your journey at home reduces
data usage while on the move.
You can play music stored on your
phone as you drive, controlling it simply
and intuitively through the interface.
Streaming services are also available,
including Spotify and Google Play Music.*
With Audi Smartphone Interface, any
text messages you receive while driving
can be read out to you – and if you
need to respond, you can do so simply
by dictating your message. But not
only that. You can also use approved
third-party apps* like WhatsApp
to keep in touch while driving.

Audi Connect Infotainment Services is the link
between your Audi and the internet, giving you
access to entertainment, information and
search functions via scrolling or tapping.
With high-speed 4G internet access in your car,
via an embedded SIM card with no data charge,
you can call up flight information, fuel prices
and weather, as well as high-resolution aerial
and satellite pictures from Google Earth™
and Google Street View™.
SE Technik, Sport, S line, Black Edition and
S3 models come with a 3-month trial of
Audi Connect Infotainment Services, or opt
to benefit from a 36-month subscription by
selecting an optional Technology Pack.

Available as an option, it replaces the
traditional dashboard with a high-resolution,
12.3” LCD screen, which you can customise
by pressing the ‘view’ button on the
multi-function steering wheel. Choose the
‘classic’ view, with prominent speedometer
and rev counter, or the ‘infotainment’ view,
which brings functions such as the navigation
map or media to the fore – with crisp
3D graphics and highly detailed effects.

The premium compact car with plug-in
hybrid powertrain. Dynamic, efficient and
suitable for everyday use, the A3 Sportback
e-tron gives you the best of both worlds.
The perfect balance.
The advantages of an electric drive combined with
the strengths of an internal combustion engine.
In everyday driving, with a push of the EV button,
you can change how e-tron works. Choosing the
hybrid-auto mode combines the petrol and
electric motors, with the system choosing the
best combination of each for the driving situation,
or you can choose to use just the petrol engine via
hybrid hold – to conserve battery power for city
driving, for example. Or, if you wish, you can select
the EV, all-electric mode. It pulls away silently
and has a potential range of up to 29 miles*
on a single charge.

Charging the A3 Sportback e-tron is simple. You just
need to slide the Audi rings on the front grille to one
side and plug in your charging cable, either at home
or at one of the many public charging points around
the country.

With the Audi A3 Sportback e-tron, we haven’t just
redefined the way your car works – we’ve adapted the
way you can control it, using the Audi MMI Connect
app. So no matter where you are, you can see the
current charge level, electric range and the location
of your Audi. You can use your smartphone as a
remote control to start your car charging with the
push of a button, set a timer to do it automatically,
or even set the climate control running using
mains power – ensuring the cabin is at your ideal
temperature when you get behind the wheel.
Before you can use the Audi Connect e-tron services,
you first need to download the Audi MMI connect
app and register on myAudi. Your mobile device

The S line specification includes an upgrade to larger 18” alloy wheels, and visual enhancements courtesy of bespoke S line
exterior styling. These aren’t the only features that stand out on the road. LED headlights, incorporating LED daytime-running

8-year Battery Warranty for
A3 Sportback e-tron models
1. The selling Audi Centre warrants that the high-voltage
battery for vehicles sold by that Audi Centre is free from
all defects in material and workmanship for a period
of eight years or 100,000 miles, whichever comes first.
2. A
reduction in battery power capacity of 10 to 30 percent
within the 8-year warranty period is normal for this type
of component and does not constitute a defect under the
terms of this warranty.
3. The warranty for the high-voltage battery shall be void
if the defect has resulted from improper use, handling
or maintenance of the battery. In particular, this applies
to charging of the battery.
4. N
otwithstanding the duration of the warranty, all warranty
conditions of the selling Audi Centre shall apply additionally
to the high-voltage battery (including but not limited
to warranty requirements, benchmarks for determining
freedom from defects, reasons for exclusion, handling of
claims, entry into force and commencement of warranty
period, scope of validity, etc).

CO2 emissions-based Vehicle Excise Duty
Vehicle Excise Duty (Road Fund Licence) is based upon the
amount of Carbon Dioxide (CO2) a vehicle emits, measured in
grams per kilometre (g/km). First-year VED rates apply to the
first year of ownership. Annual VED rates apply thereafter.

Audi Connect Infotainment Services are provided via a SIM
card embedded in the vehicle. The cost for data connection

Online Map updates for MMI
Navigation Plus
The map version delivered for the optional MMI Navigation
Plus can be updated with the first five updates which are
issued at intervals of six months. The current navigation
data can be downloaded from the myAudi Platform at
www.audi.com/myaudi and installed in the vehicle via
SD card. In conjunction with Audi Connect Infotainment
Services, the update can be carried out online in the vehicle.
In addition, it is possible to have the new navigation data
installed by an Audi Centre at extra cost.
Audi Connect e-tron services
CO2 and fuel consumption figures
The services are provided via a SIM card installed in the vehicle.
The costs for the data connections are included in the price of
the services. Audi Connect Infotainment services are available
only within the range of the selected mobile phone network
operated by Audi’s chosen mobile phone provider and where

Diamond cut finish alloy wheel
Diamond cut is a special finish on aluminium wheels. It is also

consumption/CO2 figures calculated from two test results: one when the battery is fully charged and the other when the battery is discharged. The two test results
are a weighted average, taking into account mileage range on battery power only, providing a figure in a variety of charge conditions. Battery charged using mains
sourced electricity via plug-in. Extended range achieved by 1.4 TFSI petrol engine generating electricity. Fuel consumption and CO2 emissions figures are obtained
under standardised test conditions. This allows direct comparison between different models from different manufacturers, but may not represent the actual fuel
consumption achieved in ‘real world’ driving conditions. Emissions are while driving.
