Material:Krupp Nirosta V 2A Steel.Height 27.5 cm. Some signs of usage. Otw in very good condition for an item which is over 75 years old!! This torch is a historical highlight of the Games, and a much sought museum piece for many collectors. VF. Olympic Games 1972 Munich Official Torch Prototyp. Made by Krupp, Essen this prototype is made of stainless steel, and the handle is engraved: „München 1972“ and Olympic Rings, the large plate is etched with the Olympic Spiral (the logo of the Games).Height 73cm, plate 21.5cm, weight 1340 grammes. It is heavier than the one used in the Relay (920grammes), the handle has 4 drilled holes (later only 2) and has a different burner than the torches used later. With original plastic stand. Inscribed: „DLV Deutsche Höchstleistung 100 m Lauf in 10,2 Sek. Armin Hary 20.7.1958 Hannover“. (German Athleic Association Top peformance 100m sprint in 10.42secs. Armin Harry Hannover 20.7.1960). Honouring Harry‘s German Record who also won Olympic Gold with a world Record in 1960. bronze, gold plated, size 9.3x6.3cm, in original box. Unique item!! Olympic Games Berlin 1936. Gift from Adolf Hitler. Original silk sash from a bouquet of flowers presented to the bronze medalist winner 1936 Käte Krauss (100m). 22 German women won medals at the Games, and were honoured together with the male medalists at a special occasion at the Reichs Chancellory by Adolf Hitler. As not all women could come to the event only 15 bouquets were made! The sash 60cm long and 30cm wide was embroidered with gold brockade, showing Hitler‘s private unique version of the Reichs Eagle and Swastika with mounted olympic Rings, the gold brockade dedication „plaque“ originally contained a hand written personalised greeting from Hitler for the occassion. From Käte Krauss‘ estate. One of only 15 presented! Colours on the sash are slightly faded and there is one small tear (1cm). Official Personal IOC-Member‘s Pin.. Inauguration Pin issued to new IOC Members, intricate filigree bronze with m/c enamel. Engraved at the rear with the Member‘s initials and year of initiation, size 1.5cm, the design of the pin is identical to the larger IOC Medal and is on auction for the first time ever!
