Retailer Spotlight:
Bargos Grill & Tap
Miamisburg-Centerville, Dayton
Bargos Grill & Tap opened its doors in March 2001. Its
Miamisburg-Centerville location in Dayton is its flagship
site. Bargos operates two restaurants in Dayton, including a
second near the University of Dayton. Bargos has a site in
Cincinnati and just recently opened its fourth grill and tap in
Fairfield, which its owners built from the ground up.
Bargos became a licensed Ohio Lottery retailer during the
Ohio Lottery’s launch of Keno in 2008. It’s in the top 1% of
Keno retailers in the Dayton region.
“It’s a casual, fun, friendly place to hang out,” says owner
Jamie Brink. To keep up with the area’s growth and
entertainment opportunities, Bargos added a covered,
outdoor patio in 2014.
Owners: Brett Corwin, Joe Nicholson Jr., Jamie Brink.
The Bargos on Miamsburg-Centerville Road is close to the
Dayton mall, bringing in patrons from around the area,
including employees and customers of a car dealership next
store.
Bargos has an area set aside for its MP vending machine,
where customers can purchase Keno and other Ohio Lottery
games. That’s made business at the Miamisburg-Centerville
location manageable for manager Kristen Lemon and her
staff. The area is being reconfigured for future growth.
“Keno is by far our number one seller,” she says of Lottery.
“We have customers who come in daily to play, watch
sports, play Keno.”
Kristen has worked at both the Dayton and Cincinnati
locations. This one is her favorite.
“It’s a great place to work. It’s a family,” says Kristen. “I’ve
always been very lucky. For the most part, there’s very little
turnover.”

Kristen, an industry veteran, works with
a crew of 15 and has been employed
with Bargos for the past 13 years. She
knows her regulars and enjoys them. As
a group, her customers often tend to play
together too.
“Truly, I believe when people play, they’re
winning. It’s a real community here.”

Tharp and Douglas Osten.

The FY15 Class of the
KENO Million Dollar Club
This past year, 185 retailers reached the $1-million mark in Keno sales since
joining the Ohio Lottery. This issue, we’re recognizing the bars, taverns,
restaurants and clubs in northern Ohio that have reached that benchmark.
Congratulations!
