Awards Gala - Society of Architectural Historians
Society of Architectural Historians
7th Annual
Awards Gala
SPONSORSHIP OVERVIEW
Friday, November 4, 2016, 6–9 pm
The Racquet Club of Chicago
The Society of Architectural Historians will host its 7th Annual Awards Gala on Friday, November 4th at the Racquet Club
of Chicago. The event represents a unique coming together of architectural practice and academic study and honors the
contributions of those who shape and interpret our built environment. Our 2016 Gala Co-chairs, John M. Syvertsen,
FAIA, Cynthia Winter, AIA, and Nicholas Weingarten, FAIA join SAH in inviting you to become a sponsor of the
Awards Gala as we honor three outstanding individuals with the SAH Awards for Architectural Excellence:
ARCHITECTURAL STEWARDSHIP
Richard H. Driehaus, Philanthropist and Founder, The Richard H. Driehaus Foundation
PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT WITH THE BUILT ENVIRONMENT
Sarah Herda, Director, Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts, and Artistic Director, Chicago
Architecture Biennial
ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN, PLANNING, AND SUSTAINABILITY
Peter Landon, FAIA, LEED AP, Founder and Principal, Landon Bone Baker Architects
Gala sponsorship will put your company in front of some of the leading names in architecture and design from the
Chicago and Midwest region. Reach professionals and decision makers working in real estate, architecture and design as
well as corporate and civic leaders. Your sponsorship is critical to the success of the event and supports SAH’s educational
mission and the continued restoration of SAH headquarters, the Landmark Charnley-Persky House, designed by Louis
Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright.
The following pages describe sponsorship opportunities and benefits. Sponsorship is available at a range of levels, and
we are happy to speak with you about the sponsorship package that best fits your objectives. Please do not hesitate to
contact Carolyn Garrett at [email protected] or 312-573-1365 for more information. We appreciate your consideration and
look forward to having you join the 2016 SAH Awards Gala celebration as one of our valued sponsors.
Founded at Harvard University in 1940, the Society of Architectural Historians serves a network of local, national, and
international institutions and individuals, who by vocation or avocation, focus on the built environment and its role in
shaping contemporary life. SAH is an Illinois 501 (c) 3 not for profit organization and sponsorship is tax-deductible in
accordance with tax laws.
