L Arab-American .Professionals representatives from Arab American professional associations discussed the positive impact they have made on their communities. Panelists: Orner Bishtawi (Chicago Arab Professionals and Stu4ents), Noreen Havez (Arab American Young Professionals of Boston). L Balancing Profes'sionalism and Activism - contributing to your community while maintaining a full time job. Panelists: Dr. Henry Habib (Natjonal Arab American Medical Association), Rasha Ghappour (NAAP - New York), Sarabal-Jijakli (NAAP - New York). Throughout the 3 day Conference, NAAP . organizers created Panels designed to address virtually every area of public life led by experts in a variety of fields: L F~ont Line Organization - teach- ing how to contribute to existing advocacy organizations. In the evenings, NAAP organi~ed social gatherings for conference attendees and a Banquet (The Arab American Spirit) featuring comedian Ahmed Ahmed, live music with Tony Marsho and Tair Aouni, and a DJ. This was a weekend that is still being talked about, a momentous event for NAAP-NY, and hopefully, only the first of many conferences organized by NAAP for the Arab American community.
