“Are you kidding? Is there a person in the St. Louis
metropolitan area of legal drinking age who has
never set foot in this essential landmark of food,
drink, live music and pop-culture keepsakes?
Blueberry Hill maintains the commitment to quality
that helped it build The Loop into an essential social
center of St. Louis.”
–St. Louis Magazine
“Every traditional American restaurant in St. Louis
claims to make the best burger, but Blueberry Hill
actually does.”
–Draft (Beer) Magazine
“What tourist wouldn’t be thrilled to peruse the
jukebox, check out the Howdy Doody memorabilia,
see the Walk of Fame stars outside, set eyes on the
actual stage where Chuck Berry still does the duck
walk? With its rich history, an array of American
and hometown faves like toasted rav and a prime
location in The Loop, it’s the perfect place to start
or finish a sight-seeing tour of STL.”
–Alive Magazine
“Blueberry Hill, a St. Louis bar and eatery known for
its offbeat window displays.”
–Newsweek
“I don’t come here for the music. I come here for
the wings.”
–Chuck Berry
“This restaurant has been around forever and I still
can’t get enough.”
–Sauce Magazine

spot packed with Americana and rock-and-roll
memorabilia. The menu offers a wide selection
of tasty hamburgers, sandwiches and salads.”
–New York Times
“It almost goes without saying, but we’ll say it
anyway: There’s just not a better place to hang
out in St. Louis, for various and sundry reasons,
than Blueberry Hill. But let’s tick a few of them
off: They’ve got great food, including world-class
burgers; a wide array of beers; and ambiance - in
the form of bar owner Joe Edwards’ lifelong
obsession with collecting records, posters, comic
books, satyr statues, you name it – that’s second
to none. You can go there to play darts, pinball
and video games; smoke a fine cigar; pump some
quarters into the jukebox; or just wait around for
Bob Costas to show up. Down in the Elvis Room,
you can hear great local bands, whereas the Duck
Room, arguably our town’s finest small-sized music
venue, presents terrific national acts and monthly
gigs by St. Louis’ own Chuck Berry.”
–Riverfront Times
“Chuck Berry plays here (aptly, in the Duck Room)
one Wednesday a month. As if that’s not enough,
there are two rooms for live music, seventeen beers
on tap, excellent burgers, and darts – as well as
plenty of local blues bands.”
–Rolling Stone
“Voted best hamburgers and best decor, Blueberry
Hill is an institution in The Loop and in St. Louis.
Cool bands (Chuck Berry is a regular), great wings,
reasonable prices, and a good atmosphere for all
kinds of people. Restaurant by day, bar by night.
Be warned, fake ID’s don’t work here. We can’t
say enough about one of our favorite places!”
–Washington University’s Student Life
“Among the most legendary of restaurants in town
is Blueberry Hill.”
–Chicago Tribune
“I got my thrills at Blueberry Hill. I came for the
music and stayed for the terrific atmosphere. It’s
the cornerstone of one of St. Louis’ most vital
neighborhoods. Congratulations and keep rocking.”
–John Goodman
“The St. Louis landmark serves the best
cooked-to-order burgers in the town and offers
great live music.” –Southern Living Magazine
“A Loop (and national) landmark”
–St. Louis Post Dispatch
“I want to come home to St. Louis and to my buddies
and go to Blueberry Hill and eat a burger.”
–Bob Costas
“Can’t wait to be there (St. Louis) and have a great
hamburger at Blueberry Hill.”
–Joe Perry of Aerosmith (CBS-TV News)
