Two-time NFL Pro Bowl Kicker, Garo Yepremian, and hundreds of other athletes have trusted Laser Spine Institute
with their spine care.
“After playing 15 years, it took a toll on my back.
I went through all kinds of treatments.”
“It’s so much better than having open surgery because
you’re not spending 6 to 7 months recovering.
At Laser Spine Institute, the recovery time was so quick.
It got me back to doing the things I love much quicker.”
– Garo Yepremian* | Two-time NFL Pro Bowl Kicker and Laser Spine Institute Patient
The minimally invasive alternative to open spine fusion
Traditionally, open back fusions have been used to address many spine conditions from, spinal stenosis to degenerative
disc disease. These procedures consist of a large, 6- to 8-inch incision where muscles are cut and bone is removed
to provide access to the spine. Due to the large incision, blood loss and scarring can be significant. In addition, recovery
time can be lengthy.
Laser Spine Institute provides a minimally invasive alternative to the traditional open back fusion. Our procedures require
a small incision, typically less than 1-inch on either side of the spine. We use a muscle sparing technique that avoids
cutting muscles and tendons, which means less blood loss and scarring. The patient is able to leave the facility within
a few hours postoperatively and recover more quickly.
