AMA Arenacross Series The AMA Arenacross schedule consists of (22) events in Arena’s with an attendance average of 14,000 each night running from October through February. Televised on the “SPEED CHANNEL”, 2009 primary sponsor, Mahindra Tractors received over 12 hours of “clear and visible logo placement” on the network during the race festivities and 2010 primary sponsor, Fuel Doctor rallying over 13 hours as well. The Rick Ware Racing/Tuf Honda team has won 5 Championship, the most of any organization and captured three titles in the past five years. Jeff Gibson lead the series in hole shots, wins and podium (Top 3) finishes to claim the Arenacross title in 2009. Former Champion, Gibson returns in 2012 with Cole Seibler as his teammate, finishing 3rd in the Championship in 2011, both Gibson and Seibler will be a threat each weekend. Jeff Gibson Jeff Gibson has seen what it takes to be on top, and the Ohio native is applying his knowledge to the field in the AMA Arenacross Series, leaving competitors in awe! A constant Top 10 rider in the AMA Motocross and Supercross, Gibson jumped at the chance of riding a RWR Tuf Honda. The 5-Time Series Championship team and winner of the 2007 , 2008 and 2009 Series, RWR and Tuf Honda are the Top team in the AMA Arenacross and look to claim the title again with Gibson. “I feel that riding for RWR is an honor. Only the best of the best ride for RWR, and to be riding for them gives me confidence”, claimed Gibson. Winner of the 2008 Strutgard Championship, the Germany Supercross, Gibson looks to make his stand in the Arenas once again. “I am used to riding longer races which helps me with my endurance and concentration that makes these shorter races more beneficial to my riding style!” CHAMPIONS 2007, 2008, 2009 2012 AMA Arenacross Schedule Date Venue Location Channel 10/29-30 11/4-6 11/11-13 12/9-11 1/6-8 1/13-15 1/21 1/27-29 2/11-12 2/17-19 2/25-26 Wells Fargo Arena Kemper Arena Alliant Energy Arena Mohegan Sun Arena Van Andel Arena Kansas Expo Center Ervin J Nutter Center Cedar Park Center Save Mart Center Livestock Events Center Target Center Des Moines, IA Baltimore, MD Madison, WI Wilkes-Barre, PA Grand Rapids, MI Topeka, KS Dayton, OH Cedar Park, TX Fresno, CA Reno, NV Minneapolis, MN *Year in Review Show SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED SPEED AMA Rick Ware Racing percentages: 74.8 % winning 94.1 % Podium Finish (Top 3) 97.9% Top 5 •13 Hours of television exposure for primary sponsorship in 2010 for Fuel Doctor in Arenacross Series •Coupon tent in Midway for product information and distribution •Couponing/Promotions of thousand per night targeting potential customers •22 events will be run before the Daytona NASCAR event Arenacross Demographics General Average Household Income: $71,471 56.3% of households have children 17 & under (38% more likely than U.S. average) 65.7% Male 34.3% Female Arenacross Fans* Compared to the average American Most of this info reflects comparison to average American adult…i.e. "40% more likely than"… Age & Family 94% more likely to be men 18-34 75% more likely to be men 18-49 35% more likely to have teenagers (12-17) in Household The “X-Games” The X Games has become the driving force of marketing for many companies today. Held in Los Angles, California for one solid week in August, early 37 million fans tune in on ABC and ESPN for coverage As the Journal of Sport Management (2006) explains, Generation X and Generation Y are the two most highly valued by marketers. This creates a broad approach on marketing towards that certain demographic, which is why the X Games' marketing and economic outlook is so “out of the box.” RWR entered the X Games venture in with a 4th place in 2010 with Sherri Cruse and claimed Gold in 2011 in the Women’s Moto X with Vicki Golden. Vicki Golden-RWR’s newest member Vicki Golden returns to RWR after a spectacular 2010 season that put her in the motocross record books. Golden became the first female to qualify for a Main Feature in the AMA Arenacross Series and finished an impressive 10th. Once Golden hit the Women’s Motocross she rallied top 5 finishes in finished 4 th in the overall standings before heading to Los Angles for the X Games Women’s Moto X. Vicki pulled the hole shot and rode away from the pack and captured Gold her first X Games competition. Golden returns to RWR in an attempt to double up in front of 37 million fans in the 2012 X Games. Rick Ware Racing returns to it’s roots and the series that gave owner Rick Ware, his first National Championship as a driver, the SCCA Pro Racing Trans-Am Series. The oldest professional road race series in the United States and Canada is a action-packed 10 race schedule that pairs the best veterans and up and coming racers from around North America. Trans-Am, Grand Am and NASCAR veteran, Doug Harrington will look to return to victory lane in route to a championship in a series that has drawn hundreds of thousands of fans for every event for RWR. Waiving the banner “Biggest Little Team in Motorsports™” Rick Ware Racing’s birth place was in road racing. After a 11th place finish in their Grand Am Series debut at the 24 Hours of Daytona in 2011, the organization will have Ford’s support as Jeffrey Earnhardt will “Flip his Ride” from the family tradition of the bowtie to the blue oval in the GT Class. Bolstering 16 championships across both 2 and 4-wheeled motor sports, RWR will be adding the Grand Am Series to their multifaceted motor sports marketing program that is unrivaled by an other team in the industry. RWR offers a broad spectrum of marketing opportunities that captures every demographic of the American motor sports’ fan base and with the addition of Earnhardt, the future of the company and your brand has never looked stronger 14 Ware Racing.com Rolex Grand-Am Series Rick Ware Racing entered one of the most historical race events in the world in 2011, The Grand-Am Rolex 24 Hours of Daytona. RWR competed with all rookies and rallied their GT3 Porsche to a 11th place finish and maximizing nearly 3 hours of “clear logo placement” on television for the event shown in over 20 countries around the globe. RWR has finished fabrication for the 2012 event, the 50th Anniversary of the event for which the organization will field 2012 Ford Mustangs in the same class in hopes of capturing their first road course championship since 1998. Jeffrey Earnhardt With an infamous last name, Jeffrey’s family history is rooted in the heart of NASCAR. Grandson to Dale Sr., it’s no surprise that the Earnhardt fan base has high expectations for the family’s youngest driver. However, he finds the greatest pressure to perform within himself. Not looking to survive off of name alone, Jeffrey’s main focus is developing his skill and continuously improving on track performance. His ruthless discontent for anything less than victory fuels Jeffrey behind the wheel. Determined to blaze his own path, Jeffrey will pilot the Grand Am entry for RWR for a championship run in 2012 in the GT Class, marking the first time an Earnhardt has made a season run in the Grand Am Series. Off the track, Jeffrey is both adventurous and philanthropic, having participated in charity walks for Crohn’s & Colitis and finding time to Sky Jump off the 855 ft. Stratosphere Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. The young driver has a solid understanding of the road ahead, and like a champion, he’s eager to press on. 16 Ware Racing.com There’s a revolution taking place in North American road racing and it’s called GRAND-AM Road Racing. Our photo page has been viewed over 598,000 times since January of 2011 with the duration of their visit on the photo page of 36 minutes Social Media RWR has over 4,300 fans on Facebook, marking the largest non-Sprint Cup fan base on the website among NASCAR teams. RWR’s Twitter page has over 2,700 followers, the largest again among non-Sprint Cup teams Case Study: Fuel Doctor Fuel Doctor is an innovative product, designed to increase fuel efficiency. With the economy in a slump, Fuel Doctor didn’t worry about “If” there would be demand for their product. The question was, “How to do we reach a national audience, educate consumers, and build product credibility?” The first stop on Fuel Doctor’s marketing blitzkrieg was Rick Ware Racing. “We knew the motor sports fan demographics fit perfectly with our target consumer. It was just a matter of getting our message sent out to as many fans as possible. On top of that, we were a startup company, so we had to get the most bang out of every buck. We knew RWR could help make that happen,” Mark Soffa, CFO for Fuel Doctor USA, said. Case Study: Fuel Doctor Once partnering with RWR, Fuel Doctor began their ascend through the motor sports world. They kicked the season off with championship winning AMA Arenacross rider Jeff Gibson, where they finished third in the overall points standings while promoting their product to the motocross demographic. From there, Fuel Doctor gained a national presence in NASCAR by qualifying two entries for the NASCAR Nationwide season opener at the Daytona International Speedway. As the season progressed, they built a regional presence through the NASCAR Wheelen Modifieds and Legends series, and they kept a national weekly television presence with a fulltime schedule in the NASCAR Camping World truck series. Case Study: Fuel Doctor Fuel Doctor gained further fan recognition through regional racing like the NASCAR K&N Pro and the ARCA Remax series. By the end of the 2010 season, Fuel Doctor has competed in 7 different racing series under the RWR banner, including an appearance in the 2010 ESPN X-Games with motocross rider Sherri Cruse. Beyond the fan recognition, Fuel Doctor leveraged their motor sports marketing program with Best Buy retail stores, and through cross promotional sponsorship, Fuel Doctor gained product placement in Best Buy stores nationwide. “From the first race in February to the end of September, We went from a start-up company with zero sales to having our product recognized nationwide, which led to 80,000 Fuel Doctor’s sold and over 4.5 million dollars in sales,” Mark Soffa said.
