Please join us for this special time of reflection and celebration with special music and communion. THANK YOU My heartfelt thanks to our wonderful, supportive church family, including the cards, phone calls and prayers following the death of my mom, Sonny Scofield. Your kindness is greatly appreciated! Love, Judy Ciesla The Altar flowers in the Sanctuary today are given by the First United Methodist Church of Oviedo to the Glory of God, and in thanksgiving for all of our first responders. May God bless them and keep them safe. WILDERNESS MOMENTS: HOW TO LIVE VICTORIOUSLY THROUGH THEM by Joseph B. Onyango Okello This brand new book was recently penned by our own Pastor Joseph, and talks about how we, as Christians, sometimes experience “wilderness moments” in our lives, feeling lost or even abandoned by God. This book provides a spiritual road map that will help us to realign ourselves with God’s sense of direction and purpose for our lives. Signed copies will be available for sale on Sunday, July 31st. Proceeds to benefit the Under One Program. MILITARY SUPPORT TEAM The Red, White and Blue boxes filled with toy soldiers have been placed at the three entrances to the main Sanctuary by the Military Support Team. Please take a soldier to remind you to pray for our military serving here and abroad. It is these brave men and women who protect our freedom each and every day. May God bless and keep them always. MONTHLY PRAYER MEETING FOR FIRST RESPONDERS Each month, a local prayer team meets at the Oviedo Police Department to encourage all our Oviedo and Seminole County Sheriff’s Officers, as well as pray for the fallen officers across the United States. Everyone is invited to participate in this informal gathering of concerned community members by joining in prayer or reading a favorite Bible scripture. The next gathering will take place on Friday, August 5th at 12:15 PM at the Oviedo Police Department located at 400 Alexandria Blvd., Oviedo (next to City Hall). NEW ADULT SUNDAY SCHOOL STUDY!
