Guest Information and Park Policies
Alcoholic Beverage Policy – Guests must be at least 21 years
of age to purchase, possess or consume alcoholic beverages at
Kings Island. Valid State issued identification or valid driver’s license is required
upon each person purchasing, possessing or consuming alcoholic beverages.
Alcoholic beverages are not permitted while in line for any ride.
Attire & Behavior – Shirt, shorts/pants and shoes must be worn
at all times while at Kings Island. Unruly behavior, profanity, obscene
gestures, obscene statements, illegal substances and suggestive/offensive
clothing or material is prohibited. Soak City – Appropriate swimwear is
required. Thongs or transparent clothing are not permitted. Swim diapers are
required. Suits with metal buttons, buckles, rivets, zippers or sharp objects are
not permitted on body slides. Park management reserves the right to refuse
admission or remove from the park without refund any person(s) who do not
comply with park rules and regulations.
Family Care Center by Fischer Homes – Available at no additional
charge and is a great place to bring your child when they need a break from
the park, a diaper change, or feeding.
First Aid – Available on International Street across from the exit of
the Boo Blasters on Boo Hill ride and in Soak City. First Aid is staffed
by certified Emergency Medical Technicians at all times. Medication cannot be
dispensed to minors without parental consent. If you need medical assistance, tell
any park associate and he/she will call First Aid and they will come to your location.
Guests with Disabilities – Guests with disabilities should stop
by Guest Services located at the Front Gate or Soak City Waterpark for
information regarding park and ride accessibility. A limited number of wheelchairs
are available for rental on a first-come, first‑served basis at the Front Gate.
Accessible restrooms are available and located throughout the park.
Height Measurement Stations – A guest’s height is an important

you lose an item on a ride, we will search for the article as soon as
possible. In order to keep the ride in operation an immediate search is not
possible. Please visit the Lost & Found Booth located outside the Front Gate or
Soak City Waterpark Guest Services to complete paperwork to ensure the item
is returned to you if it’s found. For your safety, do not enter restricted areas. You
may be seriously injured if you enter a restricted area. If your item has not been
found by the time you leave the park, please call (513) 754-5805 during park
operating hours to follow up with our Lost & Found Department.

K.I. & Miami Valley Railroad is strictly prohibited at Kings Island. Guests taking
pictures or video while riding may be asked to leave the park with no refund and
given a misdemeanor under O.R.C. 1711.551.

enjoy the rides too, we offer the Parent Swap Program. Here’s how
it works: one parent waits in line to ride a thrill ride or other height-restricted
attraction. After riding, they give their Parent Swap pass to the ride operator
and the other parent/guardian, who has been taking care of the little ones, can
walk up the exit or alternate access lane to get right on the ride. To participate
in Parent Swap, parents need to obtain a slip to authorize them for the program
at Guest Services located at the Front Gate.

Ride Rating System – Some rides are restricted to guest

Ride Safety Requirements
Many rides at Kings Island are dynamic and
thrilling. There are inherent risks in riding an
amusement ride. For your protection, each
ride is rated for its special features, such
as high speed, steep drops, sharp turns or
other dynamic forces. If you choose to ride,
you accept all of those risks. Restrictions
for guests of extreme size (height or
weight) are posted at certain rides.
Guests with disabilities should refer to our
Ride Admission Policy at Guest Services.
Participate responsibly. You should be
in good health to ride safely. You know
your physical conditions and limitations.
Kings Island does not. If you suspect your
health could be at risk for any reason, or you
could aggravate a pre-existing condition of
any kind, DO NOT RIDE!
Guests with a history of recent surgery, heart
trouble/high blood pressure, neck trouble, back
trouble, or any other condition which may be
aggravated by riding or who are pregnant, should
carefully heed all warning signs at each ride
entrance. If you are in doubt about your ability to
safely experience a ride or would like more rider
information, please request our Guest Assistance
Guide at Guest Services. We’ll be happy to brief
you on our Ride Admission Policy and explain how
it applies to your specific situation. We hope we
can help you enjoy your day more fully.
Restraints
All passenger restraint systems, including lap
bars, shoulder harnesses and seatbelts, must be
positioned and fastened properly, and tightened
securely to allow our guests to ride. Please try
our test seats at the ride entrances of Banshee,
Diamondback and Delirium prior to waiting in line.
Loose Articles
Most rides cannot accommodate loose articles
including cell phones, pagers, hats, cameras,
stuffed animals, purses, backpacks, umbrellas,
beverage containers, personal entertainment
devices, etc. Items must be safely secured in cargo
pockets, left in a locker or storage bin, or left with
a non-rider. RIDE OPERATORS CANNOT BE
RESPONSIBLE FOR THESE ITEMS. Glasses
must be secured on all rides. For safety reasons,
taking pictures, videotaping and filming on rides is
strictly prohibited.
Height Information
Supervise children at all times. Children may be
“officially” measured (and receive a wristband
if qualified) at our three Height Measurement
Stations located at Guest Services, just inside the
Front Gate and at the entrance of Planet Snoopy.
For the safety of your child, a standard play shoe
that does not contribute excessively to the child’s
height is required. For example, a child is not
permitted to wear platform shoes to help meet
a height requirement. Kings Island reserves the
right to ask that shoes be removed to ensure that
a child’s height is not being artificially enhanced
or manipulated.
Height, weight and age requirements are subject
to change. Please refer to the signage at each
entrance for current requirements.
