First, I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mike Meerdo for all his hard work and dedication during the past four years in leading the Club. I would also like to thank all the other officers throughout those years who stepped up and made this Club what it is today. And not to be left out, I thank all the members for all they have done. Excitement reached fever pitch recently as the World of Wheels selected three of our members to participate in a display showcasing the five generations of the Chevrolet Camaro. The 53rd Annual World of Wheels Motorama is set for th th th January 24 , 25 and 26 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center in Downtown Pittsburgh, and JD Dauer, Mark Seifert and Denny Schreiber are going to be putting in over time to get their Camaros ready for their grand appearance. JD and his 1987 Z28 Serious Black was chosen to represent the third generation, which covered model years 1982 to 1992. This is one of two Camaros in the Dauer stable, and many of our members have yet to see this addition, as it was a late season acquisition and hasn’t made the rounds of the circuit yet. The fourth generation will be well represented by Mark’s Baby, a beautiful red Camaro that has been the apple of Mark’s eye since he first saw it on the showroom floor of a local Chevrolet dealership. These stylistic gems were produced for model years 1993 through 2002 in Sainte-Therese, Quebec, Canada under the tutelage of PACE member Scott Settlemire. Rounding third and heading for home is the Crystal Red Tintcoat 2010 Camaro SS/RS owned by Denny Schreiber. Named Spawn after a popular comic book character created by Todd McFarlane, Denny’s jewel features enough LED lighting extras to rival Times Square on New Year’s Eve. So the winter cold will be chased away by these and other hot cars for three days in January. Hope to see you there.
