Meet the Merchant Volume 17- November ‘12
1. Name/Business Name/Contact: Melissa Honkamp
Address: 1318 E. Brady Street
Contact: [email protected]
Facebook: @Rochambo Coffee and Teahouse
2. How long you have been in business and do you live in the area?
We started Rochambo in 1995. We got married, bought a house on Lafayette,
and bought the building to start Rochambo within two weeks of each other.
3. Why did you choose to open your business on Brady Street?
Brady street is such a perfect fit for Rochambo. It's warm, welcoming, eclectic,
and diverse. We were inspired by the warm and welcoming cafes we went into
across Europe while we were traveling to find inspiration to bring the idea to
life. We wanted to bring that feeling of welcome to Rochambo and Brady street
provided everything we wanted and more. When we found the house that is now
Rochambo we just knew it was perfect. The people in the community have been
what have made this decision so special.
4. What would you like to share with our Brady Street admirers?
We are grateful to be able to support local and regional businesses that provide
top quality products to all our friends who enter the house. Building relationships
and a sense of community one sip at a time is very important to us. The people
are what make the house a home and we are blessed to have the opportunity to
share top new and unique products with our community. We recently brought in
Nuwati herbal teas. They provide natural remedies from the medicine cabinet of
Mother Earth. In addition, we now have Molly's gluten free bakery and 24
blackbirds artisan chocolate made from bean to bar.
Melissa is pleased to offer this special for the month of
November if you mention “Meet the Merchant:”
Pay for a house tea and upgrade to a rare - this would include the
Nuwati teas.
