Run Site- The Food Court, Bayee Pass
The weather had been foul with bouts of torrential rain and grey/black skies but as we drove along the
back route from Batu Ferringhi to Balik Pulau it was a glorious evening with clear blue skies. On
arrival, we were happy to see a good crowd waiting for the run to start.
The circle was called and Trigamist and W’Anchor the guests welcomed. Pukka Sahib came in and
announced the Bunny wouldn’t have a clue where to go! He said we needed twenty four hours supply
of food and water and a torch but most of us know him well enough to take that with a pinch of salt!
He pointed us in the right direction.
So off we bounded over the road and up the concrete path. Money Manfred was setting the pace with
Goodyear staying just a bit behind and me struggling to try to keep up. After a while we turned up into
the trees but soon heard Manfred shouting bar. Goodyear picked up the paper and started to relay as it
was fairly likely we had a bit more of the track to do and sure enough there was paper.
Not too long after we found the next bar which was aggressively guarded by a pack of yelping dogs.
The FRBs went up the hill immediately but it was soon apparent that this route was unlikely and just
as we were coming to this conclusion we heard the General calling. W’Anchor gallantly closed the
route.
We wound round up and round the hill and then came back down on the other side and wound round
some more. A lot of this was overgrown and in need of some hashers trampling through it to make a
passable route. I’m sure it’s much clearer now!
We found ourselves back on the ‘in’ track with a good run back to the site and the welcome sight of
Sammy and the beer. A great Thursday run.
Circle:
1. Our guests for the evening, Trigamist and W’anchor were duly welcomed and as they are seasoned
hashers they were iced.
2. Good Year was charged with staying behind Money who would then find the checks and save him
some trouble
3. Money was iced for declaring on the run that the hare had got lost so he had just done an
unnecessary loop but I was on paper all the time and at the same spot so he had been so busy
running he had lost the trail.
4. Take Care was charged with saying he was getting slower when he had been a front runner until the
last bit on the track – none of us can remember him being a sprinter.
5. Fancy Pants was chargred with taking the mick out of his wife by prancing about on the crutches.
6. Miss India (Melons) was charged for doing such a great impersonation last Friday.
7. Bibi Tulips was charged with ‘coming late’ ( being Bibi she took her time stripping in full view of all
and putting on her hash gear before arriving at the ice)
8. Smiling Horse was charged for flashing in the circle.
9. Trigamist charged Pukka Sahib for inattention. He had been waiting in the jungle for Trigamist and
Huge to bring them out but they of course had already short cut home
10. Finally the Bunny, Memsahib was iced. The crowd thought the run, the site and the home cooked
food were fantastic
With that the circle was closed and social drinking proceeded. Many thanks to Cheng for the delicious food
and Frank for the great run.

Funnies
There was a young Scottish boy called Angus who decided to try life in Australia. He found
an apartment in a small block and settled in.
After a week or two, his mother called from Aberdeen to see how her son was doing in his
new life.
'I'm fine, ' Angus said. 'But there are some really strange people living in these apartments.
One woman cried all day long, another lies on her floor moaning, and there is a guy next
door to me who bangs his head on the wall all the time.'
'Well, ma laddie,' says his mother, 'I suggest you don't associate with people like that.'
'Oh,' says Angus, 'I don't, Mam, I don't. No, I just stay inside my apartment all day and night,
playing my bagpipes.'
