You Can Help!
The Australian Zoo Wildlife Hospital relies on the
support of the community, suppliers and sponsors
to keep the hospital running.
There are numerous ways you can help!
The Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital originated in

A brand new facility was opened on Steve Irwin Day
(15 November) 2008 and is currently Australia’s
largest and busiest wildlife hospital, providing free
veterinary care for thousands of native Australian

critically injured by motor vehicles, domestic pet
attacks and through land clearing.
The hospital treats every kind of native wildlife you
can imagine from kangaroos, emus, echidnas, snakes,
pelicans, sugar-gliders, sea turtles and platypuses.
The hospital is staffed by leading wildlife veterinarians
and nurses dedicated to the humane care and
treatment of wild animals and to returning them fit
and healthy back to their natural environment.
