-Whizz.
The Z Car CLUB OF SAN DIEGO is
a group of
Datsun and Nissan Z enthusiasts and a
Charter
Member of the National Z Car Club Association.
Purpose: The Club is organized as a
California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit
Corporation formed to:1) Provide its
members with access to knowledge
about their Z Cars;
2) Provide a forum for members and
other interested parties;
3) Exchange Z Car information;
4) Organize events and activities for
members which enhance their enjoyment of Z car ownership.

Member should fill out the Membership
Form located on the last page of this
Newsletter.
Monthly Meetings are held the first
Tuesday of each month with dinner at 6
PM and meeting starting at 7 PM. See
below for driving directions.

Want to thank our Vice Prez, Rickie Alberto, I had to go out of the state in a family emergency and a couple of days before
the meeting I had to let him take over. Not
only did he took charge of the meeting he
put together one of the best meeting we
ever had, from an awesome guest speaker,
Steve Parr. To a very special surprise visitor from Lenny Arnoth ,Yama-san. The
designer of the 300ZX(Z32) attended our
General Meeting enjoyed the presentation
and became an honorary ZCSD Club
Member.
The event was the BNS Brewery and
Drive in Movie with a quick visit to Miguels Shop. Miguel restore and does the
car body work for Les Cannaday, Adam
Carolla and other celebrities like David
Mihalko and Hunter Hayes. The chocolate
cake was delicious and disappeared fast ,
thanks to Sheri Arnoth for baking it.
The Bumper Doc Session was very educational and interesting . The club provided
Pizza, chips and refreshments.
In August we are having our Beach Party
and BBQ. This is an awesome event in a
beautiful in beautiful Crown Point area in
Mission Bay. Thanks to Clif Yaussi for
organizing this awesome, fun and relaxing
event. The flyer with details and information is in the Newsletter.
In the meeting we are having a ZCON
2015 presentation and a brief show and tell
of a custom Z harness for Megasquirt

Drive, and it’s on the right
From 5, go to Clairemont Dr and go east a
couple miles ‘til you get to the Clairemont

JULY’S 2015 General Meeting
We had a very special meeting in July. Our friend and guest speaker Steve Parr gave an awesome presentation about his last race in Texas . His
trip to the Monte Carlo Grand Prix and an up coming event and tribute to Mr. K ,
Steve we all enjoyed your great presentations thank you for your contributions to our club.
Not only did we have a great guest speaker we had a very special and interesting visitor. Mr. Toshido Yamashita, “Yama-san” the one
and only 300ZX (Z32) designer. If you came to the meeting I bet this was a great and once in a life time experience. He was happy to be
part of the meting, enjoyed the guest speaker presentation and hanged out by the parking admiring the Z cars. He was kind enough to
sign cars and take pictures with all present. ZCSD gave him a couple of club shirts, membership card an a trophy designating him an
honorary ZCSD Club Member. He addressed the club with a few humble words were he expressed his gratitude and gave us a brief description of his new design company, Interrobang Design, Inc. His new adventure is not designing cars, but motorhomes.
We wish him the best luck in his new endeavors and want to thank him for his visit.
Great turn out at the July’s 2015General Meeting
We had a great and fun meeting . Thanks to Bob and Lisa for getting me and Rex a nice and delicious Birthday cake with candle and all.
Yama-san was kind enough to pose for a group photo with the ZCSD members.
Yama-san enjoyed walking among the cars taking pictures and signing autographs.
BNS Brewery
Great time at the BNS Brewery in Santee. Nothing like fresh brew local beer and delicious
street tacos from Salvador and Alfredo.

Thank to our very own David Milhalko and Franci ,from The BNS Brewery for coordinating this awesome
event. We had the patio for our self and reserved parking. It was a pet friendly environment. We had the opportunity to spend time with Olive, Tucker and Sparky.
ZCSD Drive In Movie
We had a great time at the Santee Drive in Movie after the BNS Brewery. It was like a
family reunion among new and old friends and beautiful Z cars. The traditional chocolate cake
didn’t lasted long by the time I get to take the picture half of it was gone. We watched the
“Antman” movie and it was fantastic. The weather was so perfect , cool night full of stars and a
few shooting stars too.
We had a very nice display of Z cars, sure they looked good at the Brewery and at the Drive in
Miguel's shop
We had time between the BNS Brewery and the Drive in movie to pay a visit to Miguel and his shop. Miguel restore and work on cars for Classic Datsun Motorsports, Adam Carolla , Hunter Hayes and David Mihalko.
All I have to say is that Kenny’s smile while tagging Hunter’s Z car is priceless . Some pretty and interesting engine
bays. Bottom pic is from David Mihalko’s most recent Z car project ,formerly Willie Buchanan’s race car.

Bumper Doc Tech Session
Thanks to Rickie Alberto, ZCSD Vice-Prez for coordinating and putting together our tech Session at
Bumper Doc even though it was his Birthday!!! Thanks again and Happy Birthday Rickie, great job!!!
Once again we want to thanks Phillip, Brandon and Nick at Bumper Doc for hosting ZCSD one more
time. The Club provided pizzas, chips and refreshments.
We had a great time at Bumper Doc . We are always welcome and treated like friends and
family. They are good sponsors and a great resource to our club members.
We had a couple of very interesting demonstrations at Bumper Doc Tech Session: one was about the
paint less dent removal by Nick Bishop . The other was done by Brandon and it was about headlight
restoration. These are part of the many services and products available at Bumper Doc located at 3885

Congrats!!! to Bob and Lisa
“Blu” has done it again. This time at Extreme Auto Fest, 2015 in San Diego. This was meant to happen Bob and Lisa
got a very last minute notification from me and with out hesitation they step up to the plate and came out
“VICTORIOUS” with a very respectable First Place in the Old School Imports category . Congratulations and thanks
for representing IMG and ZCSD.
