October is gone and we had plenty to do as car club. The October General Meeting was well attended and we had or friend and ZCSD Club sponsor Adam Cote from 5 Point Protection.. Also Wally did a show and tell presentation . October 10 was the Empire Z car club with a great turn out . October 17 was our Dyno BBQ and Twisted Manzanita Brewery. We had the most cars ever . Plenty of Z cars , 510 ,Mustangs, BMW M3, Lexus and even a diesel Ford truck. The visit to the brewery was a refreshing treat sponsor by the Club. October 25th we had our sister club 13th Annual Car Show . Once again Will and Shalena Williams were kind enough to host this awesome event . Plenty of awesome cars and food and Betty Jordan brought some memorabilia from Fred’s personal collection. Congrats to Michael Ryan for winning First Place in the 240Z category, Rich Scharf for winning First Place with the Datsun Roadster and Best of Show. Jeffery Dodds won First Place in the 300ZX category. The Hulk Machine got first place in the 260 Z and Peoples Choice Award. November is bringing our annual and well awaited Winery run , this year we are going back to the Ramona Wineries for wine tasting and lunch. This event is organized by Sheri and Lenny Arnoth and the flyer is here in the newsletter. November 21th our friends from SoCal Z have put together Nissfest in the Auto Club Raceway in Fontana, CA. This is an all around event with car show and races and a very good cause supporting “Our Fallen” an organization that support the families of our service men and woman that have lost their lives serving our country overseas and also a Toy Drive. Z’ee you at thee meeting , David G Pre’Z Established in 1991 by the owner of Z -Whizz. The Z Car CLUB OF SAN DIEGO is a group of Datsun and Nissan Z enthusiasts and a Charter Member of the National Z Car Club Association. Purpose: The Club is organized as a California Nonprofit Mutual Benefit Corporation formed to:1) Provide its members with access to knowledge about their Z Cars; 2) Provide a forum for members and other interested parties; 3) Exchange Z Car information; 4) Organize events and activities for members which enhance their enjoyment of Z car ownership. Persons interested in becoming a Member should fill out the Membership Form located on the last page of this Newsletter. Monthly Meetings are held the first Tuesday of each month with dinner at 6 PM and meeting starting at 7 PM. See below for driving directions. Turn right on Clairemont Mesa Blvd. Then look for the Denny’s. on your left. San Diego, CA (619) 972-6524 Sack brought an awesome example of a 1970 G Nose Z car triple carburetor Empire Z Car Show Empire Z car show was an outstanding event like previous years, our club member Dave Platt was there representing or club. John Moran and Johnnie Gable next to Mr. K’s awesome yellow G Nose 240 Z. Charles Park from Powertrix was displaying his great suspension products ZCSD Dyno, BBQ and Twisted Manzanita Brewery The Dyno Shop was the place for our annual Dyno BBQ day we had a great turn out . Oure friends and professional drivers Duane Norman, Steve Pharr and Mick Halbert were present and dynode their cars. Phil Bartow brought his freshly painted and awesome V8 Z car with an air brush painted of his parents. Lenny was in charge of the grill commanding the burgers, hot dogs and beer braised brats. Brian Balsama, Datsun 510 SR20 Turbo and Dan Jennings 300ZX 2+2 Twin Turbo conversion were a crowd pleasers Cole Hubbard 300ZX NA put some serious number down to the wheels. Dennis Darnall turbo diesel Ford pick up was an awesome expectable of power n torque and the crowd loved the black smoke cloud from the exhaust. Twisted Manzanitas Brewery ZCSD had a refreshing stop at the Twisted Manzanita Brewery sponsor by the club, thanks to all that came and participated and made this a great event. Smiles and cheers were the order of the day after the dyno and BBQ. Lenny smiles like the Mona Lisa. th ZCCIV 13 Annual Car Show ZCCIV Car Show was such a good event, Danna Hannibal brought her awesome 280 ZX-R and quickly became one of the show favorites. . The Wax Shop was, ZCCIV Car Show Host facility, thanks to Shalena and Will Williamson for their hospitality. Contact them for all your detailing needs. Great cars , food and friends. Pat Connolly , President of ZCCIV did something new and extraordinary, he proposed for all the show participants to walk by the cars as a group and have the owners of each car tell the story of their cars. Very special thanks to Mike Rivers for all the delicious Burgers and Hot dogs and salads. We all had a lot of fun , but no one had more fun than my little friend Kyle Wind. ZCSD Ramona Winery Run Z Cars around Japan For the Z31 lovers. Here is one beautiful example to spark that Z car love . This one belongs to Nobuo Ushijima This beautiful 370Z belongs to Toshiro Taneike. The 370Z Roadster looks awesome in the country side backgrounds This very nice 300ZX ‘Roadster’ belongs to Yokoy Ryosuke. In addition he owns that awesome Skyline. Limited quantities Fugu Z Unveiling Party ZCSD members Hunter Hayes, David Mihalko and Courtni Pugh where invited by Erin McMullen from FOX News, LA to the Greddy USA Corp in Irvine, CA. to the Fugu Z unveiling Party. Actor/director Sung Kang (Han) from the movie Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift was presented with a ZCSD pin that he wore proudly. This car was build to be a daily driver not a show car. It is a 1973 Datsun 240Z with an RB engine. It is painted Kilimajaro White. Sporting VOLK Racing Wheels. The car can be seen in Las Vegas SEMA Show 2015.
