APRIL 19 MEETING WAS A
HOME RUN FOR EVERYONE
Over 40 folks showed up at Mamma Mia’s
Pizza joint, April 19, for a feeding frenzy before
rolling on to Wilson McMillon’s outstanding
collection of old cars and sport’s memorabilia.
Thank you, Mr. McMillon. There was
everything from a gaggle of Indy Pace
Cars…to Lou Gherig’s NY Yankee’s jersey…to
Ty Cobb’s baseball bat…to Tom Landry’s
autographed hat…and not to mention, a few
thousand autographed baseballs, mitts, and
much, much more.

FREE CAR ! ! !
I have a FREE car if someone in the club wants it for a
project. It’s a 1956 Mercedes Benz 220 four-door sedan.
One owner Texas car and I have all the trim. The motor
is frozen and missing the head and carbs. Can you say
Chevy Small Block? If anyone is interested they can call
me at 817-821-6082 cell or 817-790-7417 home.
Thanks,
Dennis Baggett

Candid Camera Lives…
Coleman’s 3-window deuce rolls on cool artillery wheels.
Pat Conner’s home-built coupe turned out pretty nice.
So this is why Dave Cain says he’s always under a heavy load.

McRae’s 1932 Ford Flower Car will be simply…fabulous.
Cox’s 46 Ford coupe sports traditional “Northside” look.
Bob Deavers’ T-4-2 showstopper is all motor and tires.
Joe Flenniken’s 29 Ford rodent has a “just-right” patina.
Don Smith displayed this flawless Boyd-built ’32 sedan.
Marc Byers displays award for Jess Jordan’s 55 Nomad.
Don’s daily driver was a real big hit with all of the Tarrant
County Sheriff’s Jail staff.
Dave Kenny is a one-of-a-kind guy and hand-fabricated
this one-of-a-kind Urban Assault Vehicle for the show.
Ken Smith has that Livin’ the Low Life vibe going on with
his way-cool shoebox. Did I see Vida Guerra there?
Odell West has more than enough legroom in this Buick
for himself and half of the Boston Celtics.

Thought of the day:
Birds of a feather flock together…then crap on your car.

Thank you from TCC…
Parkerson is all smiles with his award for this slick ’40
Ford pickup.

CRUISIN’ TO CUMBY
On Saturday, March 12, I tagged along with some of the
AASR guys as they cruised to Cumby for the East Texas
NSRA Safety / Appreciation Day.
The group included Don Smith, Gail Petsick and Rex
Townsend in Rex's ‘56 Chevy Convert, John and Pat
Conner in his new ‘32 Coupe, and Rick Duffin and his
lady friend in his ‘62 Bubble Top.
We were
accompanied by Joe Joseph and his wife in their ‘48
Buick fastback, and by Ralph Sandlin in his flamed ‘57
Chevy station wagon. Bill Grammer and Perry Rice
were also present at the event.
Everyone got a door prize. Pat's car got an NSRA
award and everyone made it there and back without
incident. Good trip.
