Our crew staked out the biggest shade tree in Boerne. Cox, Ancona, and Duffin are lined up ready to show. Ken Smith’s bomb shed water like a duck at Boerne. City of Boerne blocks off the whole town for this fine run. Joshua FD Fund Raiser… Cruisin’ the Coast: Fast Lane By Les Stephens Club members Gary Cox, Jerry Johnson, myself showed up to support this years Joshua FD fund raising event. Perfect weather, plenty of good food, a chance for me to visit with old high school friends, make a couple new ones and look at old cars made for a perfect day. When the award winners were announced, Jerry, Gary and I, were honored with trophies. Jerry Johnson, winner of the top award, was also presented with a $100 bill. I feel sure this is the first of many awards to be won by Jerry's outstanding Heinzman-built ‘35 3-window coupe. By Craig Coleman Three Mississippi Highway Patrol officers check out the '37 and wanted to know if they had seen it on I-10 at just a little bit over the speed limit earlier in the day. Must have been another '37 just like it! Gary Cox’s “Northside Special” was a show-stopper. Ocean Springs, MS was a great gathering point with lots of shade and a constant parade of great rides. Les’ Time Machine impressed the crowd and judges. _____________________________________ MAKE PLANS NOW FOR THE AASR CHRISTMAS PARTY ! !
