Description
Zoom B2.1u Bass Multi-Effects with USB
96 kHz sampling brings out the original sound character of the
bass
The fundamental frequencies of an electric bass are about 40 to 600 Hz,
but harmonics go all the way up to the ultrasonic frequency range. Many
conventional pedal effects make the low end sound thin and lifeless. This
usually is not only because of insufficient response in that range, but
also because the harmonics are not handled properly.
The B2 series from ZOOM makes such problems history. 24-bit
resolution and a sampling frequency of 96 kHz ensure signal processing
power on a par with the best rack-mount devices. The dynamic, widerange bass signal retains its full impact, and the result is clear, powerful
sound that remains a distinct presence also when playing in a band
ensemble.
ZOOM original 32-bit DSP ZFX-3
The heart of any multi-effect device is its processor and decoder section.
ZOOM elevates performance to the next level with its newly developed
ZFX-3 chip. 32-bit architecture means outstanding accuracy and smooth
and detailed signal processing. Fine nuances of fingering and touch
come through without any deterioration.
Great bass amp sounds for any situation
Sophisticated bass amp modeling allows you to adjust parameters such
as speaker cabinet characteristics and low-range response in three
levels. Get the dynamic, high-impact bass sound of a large cabinet even
with flat-response systems. This is handy when using headphones or
studio monitors, or when playing through a small combo amp or other
bass amp with low output power. Alternatively, turn the cabinet effect off
and use only the characteristics of the amp head. Create your very own
bass amp sound and get it whenever and wherever you want, even when
using a series of different bass amplifiers on stage.
Six-band linear EQ or two-band parametric EQ offer total
flexibility
Center frequency allocation and filter slopes of the built-in six-band EQ
are optimized for bass guitar. Peaking type filters in the middle range
(150Hz, 450Hz, 1kHz, 3kHz) are augmented by shelving type filters at the
low and high end (70Hz and 6kHz). This ensures the shortest possible
route from creative idea to actual sound. Further flexibility is offered by
the possibility to switch to a two-band parametric EQ, for delivering a pinpoint boost or cut. The B2 series lets you really take control.
Two bass synthesizer types with different filtering and internal
waveforms
The full-fledged bass synthesizer uses the built-in DSP sound source
triggered by the input bass sound. Select from a choice of three
waveform settings (sawtooth, square, PWM) and create sounds of
incredible power and resonance. Two types of filtering with excellent
tracking are also available, for playing melodious solo phrases.
13 different bass amp and stomp box modeling choices
By digitally simulating the clipping action of analog devices such as
tubes and diodes, the unit faithfully duplicates the characteristics of tube

amps and vintage effects. Going far deeper than the superficial "tone",
this also includes elements such as depth and dynamics. Freely adjust
the mix between drive sound and original sound to create deep distortion
while your bass delivers a real punch.

47 high-quality effects implemented with 32-bit processing
Nine modules dedicated to aspects such as dynamics, drive, modulation,
and ambience offer a total of 47 effects. Because the effects are
optimized for the bass guitar range, you can freely create various sonic
scenarios without impairing the bass foundation of the ensemble sound.
A limiter/compressor lets you control peaks and ensure that levels are
matched. The auto wah and resonance filter are indispensable for
playing that funky sound. The octaver creates a wave of energy in the
ultra-low range. The defret effect gives you the sweet tone and smooth
transients of a fretless bass. Other features include delay with settings to
5000 ms and hold function, tape echo for that vintage feeling, crystalclear stereo chorus, as well as flanger, phaser, pitch shifter and many
other studio-class effects.
The right tools for the job -- editing controls with analog feel
4 of 23
The three rotary knobs let you tailor three different parameters at the
same time. Control sensitivity, attack, and level for the compressor effect,
or time, feedback, and mixing level for the delay effect. It's like having an
array of stomp boxes ready for action. In play mode, the three knobs
adjust cabinet character, drive effect tone, and patch level. This lets you
quickly match the unit's performance to the bass guitar amp or room
acoustics. Delay time and modulation rate settings can be made directly
via the intuitive TAP key input.
40 ready to use preset patches for stage and studio
The unit comes preprogrammed with settings for duplicating well-known
amps and stomp boxes, settings that are modeled on the signature
sound of famous bass players, as well as totally original ZOOM effect
sound creations. Right out of the box, you can enjoy professional-quality
bass guitar sound. And for creative leeway, a user area capable of
storing another 40 patches is also provided.
World's fastest patch change speed: 8 ms
The annoying slight muting interval of old when switching patches has
been all but eliminated. With its record-setting speed of 0.008 seconds,
the B2 series never misses a beat. For example, when changing from
backing sound to a solo, you no longer need to press the switch slightly
in advance. Simply push the foot switch and start playing the solo
phrase. No more fear of losing the rhythm when making patch changes.
Built-in auto-chromatic tuner also supports multi-string bass
The bass guitar tuner can be called up instantly by pushing two foot
switches together. High-brightness LED indicators make the note readout
easy to see also on a dark stage. The calibration range is 435 to 445 Hz,
and mute tuning without sound output is also possible.
ZNR keeps playing pauses really quiet
The built-in ZOOM Noise Reduction (ZNR) provides optimized
performance for bass guitar. While minimizing any alteration of the
original sound, ZNR shuts out unwanted noise in the playing pauses.
Even the tails of long sustain notes come out beautifully, with natural
release.
Integrated drum machine with PCM sound sources
Realistic drum sounds derived from PCM sources are arranged in a
variety of rhythm patterns for different musical genres. The 40 rhythm
variations include the steady 8-beat of Rock and Pop, funky 16-beat, a
"Jazzy" 4-beat, and many more choices. Rhythm training on your bass
guitar has never been more convenient.
Optional foot switch allows versatile remote operation
When the optional foot switch (FS01) is connected, tap tempo input of
settings such as delay time and modulation rate is possible. Other
selectable functions include bank switching, drum machine start/stop,
and delay hold on/off switching.
Ultra low noise design: 120 dB S/N ratio and -100 dB noise floor
Specifications such as a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and noise floor of
-100 dB demonstrate a level of performance that is unsurpassed in this
class. Background noise is a thing of the past, leaving the unit free to
produce only its own superbly transparent sound. Especially when using
reverb effects such as Hall, Room, or Spring, the low noise floor
combined with 96 kHz sampling and 32-bit processing results in utterly
transparent sound.
Sturdy metal chassis and rubber damping for superior toughness
and durability
The combination of a solid metal chassis with shock-absorbent rubber
damping ensures that the unit can stand up to the rigors of use on stage.
Take it on the road or into the studio, the B2 series will not let you down.
Its pleasing rounded shape, large bezel protecting the display, and
chrome-plated switches and knobs are proof that there is no need to
sacrifice good looks for toughness.
5 of 23
Two-way power allows use just about anywhere
Thanks to its circuit design optimized for low voltage operation, the unit
will run for more than 6 hours on a set of four IEC R6 (size AA) batteries.
A separately available AC adaptor (AD-0006) can be plugged in for
extended studio work, but on stage you never need to worry about AC
power.
Expression pedal adds further versatility to your guitar play
The built-in expression pedal is a great way to control effect parameters
in real time. Set the mood with vintage wah, play a pitch shift, or adjust
the volume. Or go beyond conventional pedal effects: adjust the mixing
ratio of direct sound and synth/drive sound, or control the modulation
rate. The dedicated PEDAL ASSIGN key and status LED indicators make
it a cinch to select the effect to control. Effect on/off switching is also
possible by pushing the pedal fully down.
XLR output allows direct connection to PA mixer for stage work
Standard XLR connector lets you establish a balanced link, to ensure
degradation-free, clean sound transmission also over long cable runs.
There is no need to use a DI box, even when you want to directly hook
the unit up to a mixing console or PA system. The pre/post switch makes
it possible to get the effect sound from the main output and the direct
sound (bypassing the A/D converter) from the XLR output.
USB port enables computer recording
The USB port allows the unit to function as an audio interface for a
computer. Simply connect a USB cable to utilize the high-quality sound of
the B2.1u in a computer-based recording system. The superb "Cubase
LE 4" DAW software comes bundled with the unit, so you can start
creating sophisticated music straight away. Because playback from the
DAW application can be monitored at the B2.1u itself, there are no
latency problems during recording. Powering the unit from the computer
via the USB bus is also supported.

Zoom G9.2TT Twin Tube Guitar Multi-Effects
Pedal
Energizer using 12AX7 tube
Giving body to the guitar sound and adding supple power and intensity that is the task of the Energizer. Turning up the TUBE control to drive the
12AX7 produces warm crunch with rich harmonics. The BOOST control
spruces up highs and lows, resulting in more transparency. Enjoy a
powerful tone also when recording directly to a line input or via USB on a
computer.
ZFX-3 - a 32-bit DSP designed by ZOOM
The heart of any multi-effect device is its processor and decoder section.
ZOOM has started a fresh chapter with its new ZFX-3 chip. The 32-bit
architecture ensures outstanding performance and allows smooth and
detailed signal processing. Accuracy and speed ensure that even
delicate picking and fingering work come across with impressive clarity.
DSP sound modeling plus tube circuitry create the ultimate in
distortion
96 kHz sampling and 24-bit A/D/A conversion assure super high
resolution sound. An abundance of signal processing power allows
accurate recreation of the complex upper-range harmonics that are the
hallmark of tube amplifiers. Analog circuitry using a 12AX7 tube then
adds that classic warmth and sonic impact to the DSP sound. The result
combines the best of the digital and analog worlds: distortion so
advanced and sophisticated it elevates your guitar playing to the next
level.
Preamp section with two channels
The preamp section, comprised of the amp/drive-modeling, and EQ
modules offers two channels per patch. You can easily select a channel
by simple foot switch operation. Toggle between a Fender clean sound
for rhythm and a Marshall drive sound for lead, while keeping modulation
and spatial effect settings the same. The user interface with analog
11 of 23
knobs lets you shape the sound with the same facility as on a guitar
amp.
Great for stage work or direct recording
The amp/drive-modeling blocks have two dedicated algorithms for each
amp/drive type, designed for live playing and direct recording. The
CABINET effect simulates amp and mic recording characteristics as well,
and the algorithm is automatically switched according to the CABINET
on/off setting. This lets you bring the same guitar sound that you used
during practice or recording right on to the stage. Alternatively, sound
settings that were determined during a session with the band can be
used seamlessly in the studio as well.
Amp select feature
This function optimizes frequency response to match the amp that you
are using. Settings are available to get the best out of popular models
such as Roland JC-120, a Fender combo, and a Marshall stack. The -10
dBm/+4 dBm output level switch allows the G9.2tt to be used as a
preamp, directly connected to the power amp input of a guitar amplifier.
6-band graphic equalizer
The built-in EQ module has six frequency bands optimized for electric
guitar. Peaking type filters in the crucial middle range (400 Hz, 800 Hz, 3.
2 kHz, 6.4 kHz) are augmented by shelving type filters at the low and
high end (160 Hz and 12 kHz). This ensures the shortest possible route
from inspiration to actual sound.
Guitar amplifier/stomp box modeling
Analog devices such as tubes and diodes have unique clipping
characteristics. Sophisticated digital simulation finally makes it possible
to recreate the sound of vintage tube amps and effect devices with
astonishing realism. From popular names such as Fender, Marshall, and
VOX to modern amps including MESA BOOGIE, Hughes & Kettner, and
Diezel - the list of choices is extensive. The cabinet simulator even has
settings for mic position, to achieve totally natural sounding
performance.
32-bit processing for a wide choice of high-quality guitar sound
effects
Ranging from trusty old standards to advanced choices for specialized
needs, the effect collection of the G9.2tt comprises 120 effects in 10
modules. Pick an MXR Dynacomp, famous for its unusual compression
action, or select wah pedal simulations such as VOX and CRYBABY.
Choose from three types of chorus for creating a solid, wide sound
stage. Access seven types of reverb with transparent, unblurred sound.
And the list goes on: tremolo with selectable modulation waveform, bend
chorus with individual pitch bending, harmonized pitch shifter, multi-tap
delay even reverse delay. These professional quality effects will fuel the
creativity of every guitarist. The preamp section and wah/filter effects
allow changing the module insert position for even more advanced tonal
control.
Preset patches ready to use for recording or live performance
Whether you are after a true-blue vintage tone or fat high-gain sound,
you will find a choice here. There are settings that accurately simulate
well-known amps and stomp boxes, settings that are modeled on the
signature sound of famous guitarists, as well as totally original ZOOM
effect sounds. The past and the future of guitar sound is right there at
your fingertips. The G9.2tt comes preprogrammed with a total of 80
preset patches. For creative leeway, a user area capable of storing the
same number of patches is also provided.
Intuitive interface great for stage use
Each of the four analog style rotary knobs let you directly edit
parameters on-the-fly, a total of four simultaneously. The LCD panel
clearly shows patch and parameter names. Direct access keys are
provided for each module. The advanced user interface is designed to
ensure hassle-free operation, while not getting in the way of your
creativity. On stage, the foot switches allows easy effect bank selection,
12 of 23
module and hold delay on/off switching or tap tempo input. The self-lit
switches show module status at a glance.
Real-time modulation for 4 simultaneous parameters fosters
lively playing
The built-in expression pedal allows control over effect parameters in
realtime. Common pedal effects such as wah, pitch, and volume control
are ofcourse supported, but you can also opt to adjust drive gain,
modulationrate, delay/reverb mix level, and other parameters. Up to four
parameterscan be assigned to a single pedal, allowing dramatic
techniques such asraising the chorus, delay, and reverb at the same
time. Create a rotary speaker style sound by varying tremolo, chorus,
and auto-panning rate. Also, the ARRM (Auto Repeat Real-time
Modulation) function is capable of producingrhythmical tone changes,
opening up a wealth of possibilities.
World's fastest patch change speed: 7 ms
Switching patches has never been smoother or less noticeable. With its
record-setting speed of 0.007 seconds (7ms), the G series never miss a
beat. When changing to a lead preset in the middle a song, you no longer
need to press the switch in advance, simply push the foot switch and
start playing your solo.
Built-in tuner supports special tuning requirements
The guitar tuner can be called up instantly by pushing a dedicated
footswitch. In addition to the standard auto-chromatic tuner, various
othertuning methods for guitar and bass are possible, and open tunings
are alsosupported. High-brightness LED indicators make the note
readout easy to seeon a dark stage. The calibration range is A 435 to
445 Hz, and muted tuning(without sound output) is also possible. Tuning
your guitar has never been easier or more convenient.
ZNR keeps playing pauses really quiet
The built-in ZOOM Noise Reduction (ZNR) provides optimized signal
performance for guitar. While minimizing any alteration of the original
sound, ZNR cuts unwanted noise during pauses. Tails of sustained notes
remain unaffected, with a long natural release.
Ultra low noise design with 120 dB S/N ratio and -100 dB noise
floor
With an amazing rated signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and a -100 dB
noise floor, background noise ceases to be a problem, leaving only
superbly clean, transparent sound.
Sturdy metal chassis and rubber damping for superior toughness
and durability
The combination of a solid metal chassis with shock-absorbant rubber
damping ensures that the unit can stand up to the rigors of on stage use.
Take it on the road or bring it into the studio, the G9.2tt will not let you
down. And it looks great, too, the stylish two-tone coloring using silver
and black, rounded shape, and chrome-plated parts give the unit a highclass, futuristic appearance.
USB based audio interface functions
The USB port allows the unit to function as an audio interface for a
computer. Simply plug the unit in to your computer with a USB cable to
use the high-quality sound of the G9.2tt in a computer-based recording
system. The high-performance DAW application "Cubase LE 4" comes
bundled with the unit, so you can start creating sophisticated music
straight away. Because playback from the DAW application can be
monitored at the unit itself, there are no latency problems during
recording.
M IDI IN/OUT jacks allow linking to other equipment
The ability to exchange MIDI data with other devices opens up a wealth
of possibilities. You can switch patches in conjunction with a MIDI enabled
preamp, or use the unit as a real-time controller for other MIDI
equipment. By connecting the MIDI interface to a computer, you may use
13 of 23
a dedicated editor/librarian application to edit and store patch data.
AUX IN jacks accommodate external sources
The playback signal from external sources can be plugged-into the AUX
input. Jam along with a rhythm machine, external CD or mp3 player. You
may also utilize the connectors as a stereo line input to record audio into
your computer via the USB interface.
Accelerator blends tube and solid state sound
The analog input section incorporates an Accelerator that can amplify
the signal in a tube or a solid-state based circuit. The 12AX7 tube
produces fat, sturdy sound that can be mixed with the clear and
transparent sound from the solid-state circuit. Blending natural
compression with typical tube saturation characteristics creates a rich,
organic tone.
Z-pedal takes pedal performance to the next level
The pedal on the right side of the G9.2tt supports 3D action by sensing
not only conventional up/down but also sideways movement. The Zpedal lets you build highly complex sound control patterns by allowing
you to assign up to four parameters in each axis of pedal movement
(vertical and horizontal). There are also effects specifically designed for
use with the Z-pedal. Get creative in ways never imagined before, and
explore a whole new realm of pedal performance.
External send/return loop connectors
A separate stomp box, rack-mount effect or other device can be
connected to the G9.2tt's effects loop and used as part of a patch.
Send/return level as well as on/off status are stored as part of the patch.
Find new uses for your favorite pedals and spark your creativity in a
variety of unexpected ways.

Zoom G7.1UT Tube Guitar Multi-Effects
The user interface with analog
knobs lets you shape the sound with the same facility as on a guitar
15 of 23
settings that were determined during a session with the band can be
used seamlessly in the studio as well.
The advanced user interface is designed to
ensure hassle-free operation, while not getting in the way of your
creativity. On stage, the foot switches allows easy effect bank selection,
module and hold delay on/off switching or tap tempo input.
16 of 23
techniques such asraising the chorus, delay, and reverb at the same
Because playback from the DAW application can be

advanced spectral analysis, impulse response and frequency response
data, making all the new settings offered on the G2Nu/G2.1Nu the most
realistic models we've ever created. There are 20 models of legendary
guitar amps and stomp boxes, with accurately fine-tuned sonic aspects
like gain setting, range and harmonics character. In addition, you can
choose from 10 original sounds created by ZOOM, designed for
excellent clarity and presence, capturing your dynamic range
adjustments and picking nuances that give you that truly expressive tone
that you crave.
The G2Nu/G2.1Nu operate as an audio interface, letting you record
directly to a computer connected via USB cable. All your sound settings
used during rehearsal or a live performance can be recorded onto your
DAW software. Its direct monitoring capability eliminates any latency
problems, assuring realistic studio conditions and hassle-free operation.
Quantization : 16-bit
Sampling frequencies : 32/44.1/48 kHz
Supported OS : Windows XP/Vista/7, Mac OS X v10.4/10.5/10.6
Our Edit & Share software is available through a free download and
allows you to use your computer to intuitively create, edit and save your
own, personalized amp and effect settings. Use our “radar charts” to
show a visual representation of the tone characteristics of each preset
patch. And amp/effect type sorting helps you quickly find the tone you
are after. Using drag and drop to rearrange patches makes editing easy
and fun, and you can even download the latest patches online. You can
even share your patches with others or download a cool patch someone
else created.
All 30 drive sounds have a special modeling algorithm designed
specifically for line recording. Simply turn on the DIRECT key on the top
panel and enjoy dynamic amp sounds that recreate the ideal speaker
cabinet characteristics over a flat response audio system or
headphones. Of course, this mode works perfectly for direct recording to
a DAW application via the USB audio interface.
The G2Nu/G2.1Nu features 20 highly creative and versatile patches
produced under the supervision of master guitarist Steve Vai. Also
included are dozens of presets that authentically recreate the vintage
rock sounds of the sixties and seventies, plus the styles of many famous
artists.
We supply 100 patches right out of the box and you can create your own
and save up to 100 more right on the pedal.
To recreate the rich blend of harmonics in the upper frequency ranges
that are unique to tube amplifiers, you need a powerful, fast processor.
Thanks to its high-resolution signal processing using 96 kHz sampling
and 24-bit A/D/A conversion, the advanced ZFX-3 sound engine
implements complex digital modeling technology to convincingly recreate
those subtle tube amp characteristics.
One of the most important and useful new additions to the G2Nu/G2.1Nu
is its large 1.9 inch display. This new screen makes creating your own
sounds a breeze. But we also have simplified the interface with three
large control knobs to make changing your tone similar to a stomp box,
making the overall operation easy and intuitive.
Ranging from standard to advanced, nine modules with 83 high-quality
18 of 23
effects provide unsurpassed flexibility and tonal variation. Choose effects
like the MXR Dynacomp, famed for its peculiar compression, Vox
Crybaby and other renowned wah pedals, four types of chorus with great
depth and ambience and six types of reverb providing transparent clarity.
Or let your tonal imagination run free with dynamic flangers, tremolo with
selectable modulation waveform, harmonized pitch shifter, multi-tap
delay, reverse delay and many more.
The frequency bands of the built-in 6-band graphic equalizer were
designed specifically for electric guitar. In the crucial midrange, which
determines a great deal about tonal quality (400 Hz, 800 Hz, 3.2 kHz, 6.4
kHz), peaking type characteristics are used. The low end (160 Hz) and
high end (12 kHz) are adjusted with shelving type curves. This gives you
the complete tone control capability normally found on high-end studio
gear.
The LCD display and LED indicators make its auto- chromatic tuner easy
to use on a dark stage. Its mute tuning capability is also very useful on
stage.
Choose from 40 different rhythm patterns including 8-beat and 16-beat
as well as 4-beat, shuffle and many other variations. The intuitive tap
key makes it easy to directly set the tempo. Start a jam session anytime,
anywhere.
Use its 5 second looper function to record, playback and overdub guitar
phrases that can be controlled with your pedal. This ''sound-on-sound''
feature lets you lay down phrases in real time, and during a live solo, you
can use the looped sound as backing.
Specifications such as a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and noise floor of
-100 dBm provide a level of performance that is unsurpassed.
Background noise is effectively eliminated, and ZOOM's proprietary ZNR
noise reduction also removes unwanted noise. Even the tails of
sustained notes come out beautifully, with natural release.
With its amazing patch change speed of only 5 milliseconds, the
G2Nu/G2.1Nu allows you to never miss a beat. Change from rhythm
playing to a solo in an instant by simply pushing the switch and start
playing the solo phrase at the same time because the muting interval
when switching patches has been reduced to an absolute minimum.
The optional foot switch (FS01) allows tap tempo input for rhythm, looper,
and effects. Other selectable functions include rhythm pattern start/stop,
bank switching, delay input muting, and delay hold on/off switching.
You can connect an optional expression pedal (FP02) to control effect
parameters such as wah, pitch shift, volume, drive gain, modulation rate,
or delay/reverb mix in real time. The G2.1Nu has a built-in expression
pedal and a dedicated PEDAL ASSIGN key which makes it easy to select
the effect you want control on any patch setting. Effect on/off switching is
also possible by pushing the pedal fully down.
While offering performance and functions far beyond its class, the
G2Nu/G2.1Nu has a sturdy metal chassis that can stand up to the rigors
of the road, yet, it’s still compact enough to fit into the pocket of a guitar
case. Wherever you need it: on tour, in the studio, or rehearsals, the
G2Nu/G2.1Nu is ready to rock.
The G2Nu/G2.1Nu can use three different power sources: AC adaptor,
batteries or USB bus power when plugged into your computer. Four AA /
LR6 alkaline batteries are good for 6.5 hours of continuous use.
Whether in the studio or on stage, the G2Nu/G2.1Nu gives you power
options that work
