The Peroni Story
®
Birra Peroni has always adhered to the traditions of Italian craftsmanship,
passion, and flair — the cornerstones upon which the company was founded
by the illustrious Francesco Peroni in 1846. In 1963, Italian brewer Rudi Peroni
saw an opportunity to be the first European to create a
truly superior beer – a beer deserving of wearing the Blue
Ribbon, the Nastro Azzurro®. After several attempts, he
succeeded in his ambition
and created what would
become the brewery’s most
famous export, Peroni
Nastro Azzurro.
The passion and flair are
still evident in every sip of
Peroni Nastro Azzurro. It’s
still brewed from the original
recipe – including the finest
European hops and with a
carefully lengthened brewing
process to create an intensely
crisp and refreshing taste, a
birra superiore, a beer of the
highest quality.

quenching, these pale lagers showcase a biscuity,
crackery malt character highlighted by a floral and

ribbon from the mast of the ship.

many food styles, while cleansing the palate for
the next serving.
