We are a separate entity from the North Syracuse Central School District (NSCSD), and our mission is to enhance the education and cultural enrichment of the students of the NSCSD. What more valuable, lifelong gift can we give to our community than a solid, public school education! The NSEF is here to foster communication between various stakeholders. It is the Corporation’s belief that many within the community share the NSCSD’s and NSEF’s vision of quality education for our students and would welcome the opportunity to demonstrate that commitment through private source funding. As we look to the future, the NSEF has many goals and responsibilities. We will continue to fund our endowment with the CNY Community Foundation which is currently over $120K. We will continue to offer education grants as we have awarded almost 100 grants totaling over $80K to date. We will continue to support unfunded student programs as we have for the second year in a row for a total of over $25K to date. Through our matching donation program, we funded student clubs and activities that would no longer exist without NSEF support such as CNS Science Olympiad, CNS Math League, NSJH DECA Business Club, GRMS FCCLA, and Cadet Winterguard just to name a few. We will continue to support NS Dollars for Scholars as we have in the past by funding four scholarships for CNS Seniors for a total of $2K per year. We will continue to work with district administrators and educators to identify needs and programs within the district that need funding. We will continue to build our all-volunteer Board to lead the Foundation into the future. The NSEF believes that the students of the NSCSD deserve the best education available in the U.S. at all levels, in all areas of the curriculum, as well as enrichment from co-curricular and extracurricular activities. Please visit our website at www.nsefweb.org to learn more about our organization, and please consider joining the NSEF as a volunteer or board member.
