BRAND BOOK 01 A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line the BRAND ALEPEL is a high-quality shoe brand produced in one of the finest factories in Brazil with 100% Italian leather. Our mission is to intersect architecture and fashion into a strong design that won´t sacrifice the need for comfort, simplicity and affordable price. We offer designer grade quality footwear below $400 MSRP. The brand name was inspired by its creator’s name Epelboim, which is composed of two German words meaning “apple tree”, the fruit that tempted the woman and influenced the original sin. Each piece created by ALEPEL personifies that temptation of today’s modern woman. 02 theDESIGNER Originally from Caracas and living in Miami, Adriana Epelboim-Levy believed there was an artful play to her strategic nature. While working towards her degree in architecture from Pratt Institute in New York City, she freelanced for modeling agencies and deepened her passion for the fashion industry. Adriana fell in love with the intricacy behind A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line geometries and concept in modern fashion design. Adriana worked as an architect for well-known firms in NYC and Miami including Arquitectonica, Zyscovich and Fanny Haim. She has learned shoemaking from the ground up working with factory owners and staff along with attending courses at the prestigious Ars Sutoria; a school dedicated to footwear design. Soon enough she decided to pursue her lifetime dream, intersecting architecture and fashion into its simplest & sexiest form: SCULPTURAL SHOES. 03 A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line SCULPTURAL SHOES Shoes are like skyscrapers gone cubist and postmodern. The architectural impulse is evident in the sharp-edged, geometrical designs of ALEPEL, where simplicity perfectly merges with sophistication. The designer has brought the specific processes of her discipline to bear directly on footwear design. She created new typologies to look like mini sculptures that are still meant to be wearable and comfortable. The architectural inspired shoes wow our customers with fresh design and a stylish concept found only in premium distribution. 04 A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line theLOOK ALEPEL expresses a timeless beauty that resonates with unique elegance and style. The architecture of the shoe, feminine to its core, unfolds sculptural pieces that accentuates women´s looks. A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line ALEPEL designs for the modern, successful and active women of today who wears shoes as a statement piece. The ALEPEL woman likes shopping for self-differentiation through unique fashion footwear that offers a designer grade product at an accessible price point. The ALEPEL woman likes to stand out, she is identifiable through the symbol of “The Line”. 05 TRADEMARK “Be unique but yet identifiable” ALEPEL owns the patent for the exclusive symbol of the line that runs from the top of the sole to the back of the heel. The line is the basic character of expression used in art and architecture. It personifies the concepts of A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line connectivity, balance and direction. The line, a rubber injection on the leather sole, is timeless. It will never wear out no matter how much the sole is used. The line is an intrinsic part of the construction of the shoe. It was aunique craftsmanship process achieved by experts at the factory. 06 A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line theFACTORY ALEPEL shoes are made in a prestigious factory in Brazil. Their tradition in craftsmanship and dedication to excellence ensure the exceptional quality of the products. The most remarkable artisans use only the finest leathers and fabrics. Our factory has a reputation for making the most detailed and complex shoes. They are well known for the success of the London based brand: Sophia Webster. The ALEPEL shoe manufacturing process requires handcrafted details that only our talented artisans can achieve. “The line” construction authenticity is obtained by manually injecting the rubber into a groove that is pre designed into the outsole and heel structures. 07 theLOGO A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line The ALEPEL symbol is extracted from the dissection of a solid square representing the “shoe sole” which is intersected by the “line” vertically connecting the front and end of the element, perfectly centered. 08 COLLABS We believe in showcasing the brand through unique opportunities besides the traditional store window. We have enjoyed being part of reactionary events that exhibit the shoe as a “piece of art” and not just as a fashion article. ALEPEL has collaborated with influential fashion designers and artists, from the runways of Paris and NYC A L E P E L Brand Book _____ follow the line during fashion week, to Art Basel Miami; exposing the shoes in unexpected contexts.
