Whether you’re running late, wishing someone a happy birthday,
flirting or avoiding a difficult conversation, your message will always
be clear. What’s more, text messages also work when you’re abroad,
which makes them a cost-effective way of checking with the folks back
home if you’re on holiday!
• To take a self-portrait, activate the
camera and press Options, then
select Self-timer

left or right sides of the 4-way key
to choose a different camera mode
• You can find your photos by
pressing Menu and selecting the
Gallery on your phone. Photos are
automatically stored in the Images
folder. When the camera is
activated, you can take a shortcut
to the Gallery by pressing Options
and selecting Open Gallery
Your new phone should already be
set up for sending and receiving text
messages. If you’re not able to send
text messages, it’s likely that the
‘message centre number’ is not
stored in your phone
• To check this, press Menu
• The Messages option will appear.
Press Select
• Use the 4-way key to scroll down to
Message settings, then press Select
• Text messages will be highlighted.
Press Select again
• Sending profile will be highlighted.

• Your current text message settings
will then be highlighted. Press

• Check with your network that the
correct Message Centre number is
shown; if not, press Select and enter
the correct number. Press the red

set the time and date by following

Time and date settings is displayed
• Press OK
• Press the bottom of the 4-way key to
highlight Date, then press Select

You can send photos to almost any mobile phone. If your friend doesn’t
have a camera phone, they’ll receive a text message telling them how
to pick your message up from the web.

• Enter the date (day, month and year)
and press OK

• Press the red ‘end’ key to disconnect
when you’ve finished browsing, then
press it again to clear the screen
