Dear Students,
This month instead of going through the contents of this issue I wanted to share with you some life
lessons on a more personal level.
One of the most valuable lessons I have learned over time and was raised on was to never judge
a book by its cover. It is okay to be skeptical based on the cover, but not to pass judgment without
reading it first. When I first started Celebrity High, a month before its scheduled first issue launch, I
was introduced to my first investor. I was introduced to him not by initial request, but more on fate.
My first meeting with this investor was in the back of a Denny’s parking lot in an old RV (recreational
vehicle). I walked into this RV with my business plan and suit thinking to myself “he must live in this
RV and he has to be poor.” Even though in the back of my mind I entertained these thoughts I treated
him as if I would treat a possible “Rich” investor. So we held the meeting for about two hours. When
the meeting came to a close, he said he was interested in investing. The funny thing is upon leaving his
RV I was skeptical that it was even possible on whether this man could afford to invest. One week later,
he invited me to his home for dinner. That night he signed a contract and became my investor.
Important lesson number two, Treat others the way you would like to be treated. There is nothing
to lose in this particular lesson, and zero risk in this situation. Acts of kindness can only do one thing,
and that is defeat negativity every time. It is always possible to undermine your opponent, but an
undermined opponent is not worth the repercussions. In this scenario you may have won the battle,
but you will definitely lose the war. The entertainment industry, like many business circles, is small. It
takes one person to pull all your power. I had a scenario once with a publicist where I undermined her
authority. For a year I struggled to pull top artists for interviews.
Lesson number three is the most valuable lesson I have learned so far in my 25 years of experience.
“Treat life as if it was a blank canvas and educate yourself along the way as much as you can.”
Sometimes we all fall into the ‘rat race’ trap and forget my ‘blank canvas” analogy. One of my most
memorable experiences in high school was when a teacher asked me in front of the whole class,
“What are your plans after high school?” My response was “I am going to college, of course.” I recall
the teacher reiterating the question a couple times and me giving him the same answer. I started to
be unsure of what he was asking. So then he said “if there was one thing you could do, your ultimate
dream what would you do?” I responded back I would be in the entertainment industry of course!
I would be a rapper! The whole class started laughing and they all agreed that made more sense to
everyone. My teacher then replied “I suggest you go after your first dream then settle on your back
up plan because when you accomplish your back up plan first you will always wonder about your first
dream.” I responded “You are not allowed to tell me that.” Every time I replay that story in my head I
always laugh to myself in appreciation for that teacher who inspired me to break out of the traditional
method and to take the road less traveled. In closing, I went to college for a couple years and along
the way educated and interned my way into the entertainment industry. I realized, I didn’t want to be
a rapper and that my inspiration in the entertainment industry evolved into learning more about the
aspects of business, marketing and publishing.
The reason high school inspired me so much, enough to start a publication around it, is because
I truly believe that high school sets a strong foundation and cornerstone for who you assume to be
or who you want to be for the next stage in your life. To all graduates, I encourage you to take into
consideration the true definition of “life,” is its verb, “living.” Take positive action in your life and you
will be surprised at the heights you can reach!

Graduation is just around the corner and as college awaits you on the next block, it’s time to start
thinking about what your life will consist of after high school. Being above the influence nowadays
doesn’t just mean staying away from the things that harm you, but indulging in the things that will
help create you. This is why college is so vital. Not only does it increase students’ determination to
be knowledgeable individuals, but it also increases their possibility to have a higher salary.
If you think that “traditional college “ isn’t for you then consider technical colleges or trade
schools that pertain specifically to your career goal.
Whatever you decide keep in mind the following economic class statistics.
• Upper Class: (1%) Those with great influence, wealth and prestige. This class owns about a third of private
wealth, and includes top-level executives, celebrities and heirs. Income of $500,000+ is common. Ivy League
education is common.
• Upper Middle Class: (15%) The upper middle class consists of white collar professionals with advanced postsecondary educational degrees and comfortable personal incomes. Highly educated (often with graduate degrees)
professionals & managers with household incomes varying from the high 5-figure range to commonly above
$100,000
• Lower Middle Class: (32%) Typically, some college education, Semi-professionals and craftsman with some work
autonomy; household incomes commonly range from $35,000 to $75,000. Out-sourcing tends to be a prominent
problem among those in this class who often suffer from a lack of job security Households in this class may need
two income earners to make ends meet and therefore may have household incomes rivaling the personal incomes
of upper middle class professionals such as attorneys.
• Working Class: (32%) This class may constitute the majority of Americans and include those otherwise referred
to as lower middle. It includes blue as well as white collar workers who have relatively low personal incomes and
lack college degrees with many being among the 45% of Americans who have never attended college. Common
household incomes range from $16,000 to $30,000. High school education.

young celebrity.

CH: How many movies have you been in?
Bobbe: I have been in about 14 or 15.
Ch: Do you consider yourself humble?
Bobbe: I have to be. I don’t want to be a bad example
for other upcoming artists and actors. I stay humble
and keep my ego down.
Ch: How old were you the first time you stepped on
a set?
Bobbe: I remember my very first time on the set. I was
5 or 6 years old. It was in a movie called “My Baby’s
Daddy”
CH: What was that experience like, were you nervous?
Bobbe: I was nowhere near nervous. It was just a new
experience. It was cool.
CH: How or when did you realize that you wanted to
do this?
Bobbe: Well, I was a rapper that is how I started. I
was never on the actor page, but I was noticed for
my personality, which opened me up to comedy and
acting. Everything happens for a reason.
CH: Any difficult experiences since becoming an
actor?
Bobbe: Yes, I was working on the Christian Morgan
show and my grandma passed. I had to put that to the
side at the time because I had to get my work done
first. I was young at the time. It was tough but I had to
get my work done first. My mom had to fly home and
then I met her later. It all worked out and she is in a
better place.
CH: What is going on with your diet situation?
Bobbe: I have to keep my cuts, My arms my muscles.
My abs. I have to stay in shape.
CH: Do you have a celebrity crush.
Bobbe: Ooooohhhh …My celebrity Crush is
Keyshia Cole
CH: Do you have any your age?
Bobbe: I would say maybe Dakota Faning
CH: Have you ever worked with her?
Bobbe: Not yet
CH: Who is your favorite actor so far?
Bobbe: My favorite actor so far was Josh Ritter. We
have a movie called “Snowman” coming out. He is
a cool guy, If one of us is down the other one would
pick the other person up. He is just a really cool dude.
CH: Do you travel a lot by yourself?
Bobbe: No, I don’t go anywhere without my mom.
Ch: What advice would you give to kids trying to be
in showbiz?
Bobbe: I would say follow your dreams, stay Godly.
Stay on a steady path and let God lead you.
CH: What is a day in the life of Bobbe?
Bobbe: I wake up around 7:30, get school done until
about 10 a.m., then I make myself breakfast. School
comes first, though. It is a priority for me. Then I am
on my Mac Book making music or on my Xbox. If you
are good at Madden come play with me.
Ch: What is your favorite part about being an actor?
Bobbe: I love giving back to my old neighborhoods
and fans. This past year I fed the homeless.
CH: What is your most embarrassing moment?
Bobbe: To all my ladies, I was in the middle of WalMart and I was rushing to the bathroom and I pooped
on myself.
CH: Where do see yourself 10 years from now?
Bobbe: I see myself married to Keyshia Cole in a
mansion somewhere on an island.
CH: What about the age difference?
Bobbe: It’s cool. I’ll have a Nick and Mariah situation,
about 11 years apart.
CH: Any future projects coming up?
Bobbe: I have several movies coming out including
“The Land of the lost;” “Imagine That” with Eddie
Murphy, and “Snowman,” I also have a TV show
coming out on the Cartoon network called “Bobbe
Sais,” and my reoccurring role on 30 Rock.

ristinia DeBarge, 19, of the DeBarge family is from Los Angeles and has been singing and acting her entire life. She landed a
record deal without the help of her famous singing name, but still has a lot to live up to. Of late, she’s been all over the country
promoting her new single “Goodbye” and getting ready for her self-titled debut. She’s already been reviewed in People and featured
in Billboard, and her single is hot on Itunes and consistently climbing the pop charts. While some have compared her sounds to
Rihanna, stylistically she’s all her own. We recently sat down with her at the Celebrity High office.
CH: If you were not doing music what would you
be doing?
KD: I would probably still be singing in some way. I would
be singing in a bar or blues lounge. Somewhere singing my
heart out. If there is no way possible that I can sing I would
pursue other things like being a biblical archeologist.
CH: What is your biggest pet peeve?
KD: I would say it is when people are not considerate.
Even if you do not like the person still be considerate. You
do not benefit from being mean to anyone.
CH: What do you like to do for fun?
KD: I like to read. I love reading. I am reading a book right
now called “Angels and Demons.” So far it looks like it may
be better than the “The Da Vinci Code.”I also love shopping, playing with my dog and checking out new artists.
CH: What genre are you most relatable to?
KD: As far as my album is concerned the genre that I am
most relatable to is pop urban.
CH: Who are your musical influences?
KD: Madonna, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Aretha Franklin to Nancy Wilson the list goes on and on.
CH: How did you know you were destined to do music?
KD: I saw this video of me when I was real young, 6 or 7. It

was at a wedding reception and everyone was dancing to the
band’s music. The camera focuses on me and I was mesmerized by the band. Next thing you know I am on stage with
the tambourine playing on beat. I guess I knew then. I was
always around music growing up.
CH: What is your favorite track on the album?
KD: It is called “Cry Me A River”. It is about a girl going
through a break up and she is talking about how she is all
cried out and she is telling her ex how he will never be with
her again. The song says, ‘you really hurt me and there is no
room for you anymore.’
CH: Is there a reason why that is your favorite track
on the album?
KD: I like it because it is real. It is not your typical fun song.
Everyone goes through this at least once in their lifetime.
I’ve been through a lot and you can hear a lot of my emotions and vulnerability. This song shows how relatable I am.
CH: What advice do you have in regards to the
music industry?
KD: My advice is to stay strong and don’t ever lower your
standards. Stay true to yourself. Remember your value and
your strengths.

What is the difference between global warming,

Greenhouse effect” is the effect of certain gasses that trap heat

‘climate change.
“Sublime climate change” is the change in the climate caused by
global warming.

that human activity is causing

our environment. Everything
in our earth is affected when

levels began to rise. This Global
warming is causing our ozone layers to thin out which
means the earth is less protected from the rays of the
sun and other possible threats. Before global warming
starts to explode beyond control we must start to make
changes that will decrease its effects on our world. When
we become more aware of what is happening to our
environment, the more likely we are to make changes
in our daily lives. Even the smallest change in your daily
routine could decrease global warming!
