The Gates on Roblin, just minutes from the western edge of
Winnipeg, boasts beautifully landscaped seven acre grounds.
Our amenities include an estate that has been converted into a
restaurant with 8 unique rooms, and a 6400 square foot marquis
tent inspired ballroom. Along the banks of the Assiniboine
River is our wrap around deck overlooking the lower lawn,
perfect for hosting an outdoor ceremony. Adjacent to the lawn
is our garden with a cascading fountain feature ideal for photos
and intimate ceremonies.

The majestic rural beauty of the Gates on Roblin is a
serene setting for your wedding day. Boasting seven
acres of manicured grounds on the Assiniboine River,
this riverfront property is a stunning backdrop for your
wedding ceremony, reception, and photography.
We would be pleased to host your on-site ceremony as
part of your wedding reception package and our standard
ceremony fees will apply at $150.00 plus $5.00 per
person.
Ballroom – This is a hallmark of the estate providing
year round opportunities for both intimate and grand
weddings and receptions. With 6,400 square feet, the
possibilities are endless for you to plan that once in a
lifetime special event. This venue can accommodate 80
to 350 guests for a wedding ceremony and a spectacular
reception.
Woodlands Lawn – a lush setting in the heart of the
estate with the Assiniboine River in the background,
this ceremony venue can accommodate up to 350.
Riverside Deck – Our spacious, wraparound deck
located off the Ballroom overlooks the beautiful
Assiniboine River. As Winnipeg’s largest deck it is
great for short, stand-up ceremonies or traditional style
ceremony for 150 seated guests.
Whether it’s a formal sit-down dinner, an intimate
cocktail and hors d’oeuvre reception, or a fabulous
rehearsal dinner, you are guaranteed the finest quality of
food served with style and flair. Choose from a variety
of tantalizing menus, specialty theme menus, or
customize your own. When your special day arrives,
the Gates’ outstanding chef, culinary team, and banquet
staff will exceed your expectations with service and
attention to detail that creates memories for you, your
family, and your guests to last a lifetime.
Our 6,400 square foot Ballroom built in 2004 is a
beautiful all season facility situated in the midst of
gorgeous seven-acre natural surroundings. The Gates is
a lovely setting in the spring and summer showcasing
our lush gardens and is also a stunning winter or fall
backdrop with beautiful fall colours and numerous trees
illuminated in white lights.
Whether you envision a celebration that’s traditional or
trend-setting, festive or formal, intimate or grand scale,
your wedding at The Gates will be the event of your
dreams. As the premier setting for weddings and
special events in Winnipeg, we specialize in creating
uniquely perfect experiences.
Sun Room – Conveniently located in our forward
restaurant area, this three-sided multi-windowed room
provides the ideal backdrop for your ceremony and can
accommodate up to 70 guests
Gardens – As far back as 1913 the estate has been
known for its award winning gardens. This is an
elegant outdoor venue for 25 - 40 guests.

What to Expect…
Included with booking a reception at The Gates on Roblin will
be a private photo session. Please contact your coordinator for
available time slots.
Before you Book:
A personal tour of our facility, by appointment only, with
a wedding coordinator or another manager.
Provide phone number & email with all banquet
information and pricing so you can ask questions as
needed.
Upon Booking:
You will receive vendor referrals for photographers,
florists, decor, musicians, etc...
A complimentary food tasting for the Bride and Groom
(Ballroom events only)
Two complimentary face-to-face meetings. The first
meeting taking place the same evening as your scheduled
tasting and the second meeting two weeks prior to your
wedding day to finalize all of your details.
Rehearsal:
Complimentary 60-minute rehearsal with coordinator
and officiant. (Ballroom events only)

Arrive several hours early to ensure proper
deliveries from florist, bakery & other pertinent
vendors.
Be on site for bridal party assistance during
preparations.
Ensure that all favors, guest book, place cards,
etc... are in the proper locations as per bride’s
instructions.
Assist groom & attendants as well as family
members with corsages. Coordinate day’s events
with photographer, musicians, & videographer.
Reserve ceremony seating for immediate family
members. Monitor guest arrivals to adjust start
time as needed.
Begin ceremony, assist in all bridal party
placements for the ceremony.
Assist guests to cocktail hour while bridal party
photos are taken.

Assist in any transfer of floral arrangements or
other items to the reception location.
Ensure that all food and beverages are ready for
guests.
Ensure that guests are seated in dining room for
the bridal party grand entrance.

Present cake for cutting; serve cake as required.
Package all leftover cake, cake toppers and
décor, and late night for take home.
Ensure presentation and personal items are
locked in bridal room prior to dance.
Ensure items such as cake knife, guest book,
photos, and all personal items are gathered for a
stress-free departure.
