the Gen Y Employee
Dr. Don Hackett, Associate Professor of Marketing,
Wichita State University
There are ‘4’ definable generations in the workplace today. By
far the generation drawing the most interest and attention,
from supervisors and managers, is the generation known as
Gen Y, aged from 15 to 30. Leading and managing this group
is proving to be extremely challenging for the older Gen X
and Boomer generations. In this program, the values and
practices of Gen Y are defined and specific tips and actions
supervisors can take to better manage them are discussed
in detail.

Stimulate, encourage and motivate your cleaning employees
by breaking up the boredom and routine in your business
and allow the crew to use their teamwork skills to compete
for a place on the medal stand. This year the College
GameDay Housekeeping Olympics will include 4 events:

Floor & Carpet Care Seminar
Mike Weber, P&G Professional, Technical and Science Liaison,
Floor Care Research Specialist, Ohio State University –
Chemical Engineering
Mary Beth Arthur, P&G Professional, North American
Technical Service Manager, Floor Care Expert, IICRC
Certification
Floor care should be done by skilled professionals following
proper procedures and chemical usage. There must be an
understanding of the science and technology of floor care to
maintain floors and carpets to protect and look their best. It
is not only important to use quality floor care products but
also understand the necessary preparation and procedures
that must be completed to maintain these surfaces. This
seminar will cover the fundamentals of good floor care which
will include daily, interim, and restorative maintenance for
floors and carpet.
