BACKGROUND
Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is the secondary airport of the
city of Antalya, which welcomed more than 11.5 million foreign
visitors in 2014. About 25% of Antalya’s visitors have actually
vacationed in Alanya, 135 kms to the east of the city center of
Antalya. Alanya visitors have doubled since year 2006.
Due to the remote location of the existing Antalya Airport to
major touristic centers in Alanya, the development and operation
of the new Gazipasa-Alanya Airport became inevitable. The
airport serves commercial flights since 2010 and has become a
major gateway to the region since then.
Operator of 14 airports worldwide, TAV Airports assists the

Antalya region offers a great destination in the
Mediterranean for holidaymaking Europeans and Russians
with year round sunshine, excellent hotels and beaches,
local culture and genuine hospitality, with a short flight
time from Eastern Europe & CIS countries.
Antalya region is especially popular among Russians
and Germans. Alanya area on the other hand, is
especially popular among European and Scandinavian
holidaymakers.
Alanya became a significant destination for foreigners to
purchase real estate after the provisional elimination of
restrictions on land purchases by non-nationals. Over 23
thousand homes in Alanya are owned by non-nationals
and over 15,400 foreigners reside in the town on a full

Alanya is one of the most visited tourist regions of Turkey,
hosting 2.7 million visitors each year. 27% of the total bed
capacity of Antalya is in Alanya, where visitors from mostly

Gazipasa-Alanya Airport (GZP) is the most convenient point
of entry into Alanya for the vacationers. GZP has convenient
access to the highways that makes travel to farthest
destinations in Antalya area possible within two driving hours.

GROWING
AIRPORT
Gazipasa Alanya Airport (GZP) welcomed 730 thousand
passengers in 2014 where it had served 360 thousand the year
before. Thomas Cook Scandinavia, SAS, Transavia, Tailwind,
Corendon Airlines, Jet time and Sunexpress are some of the
major airlines operating to GZP from numerous European
destinations. In addition, Turkish Airlines, Pegasus Airlines,
Onur Air and Anadolujet connect GZP to Istanbul and Ankara
(ESB) with frequent domestic flights.
The route network of GZP will expand further in 2015.
Moscow, Warsaw, Katowice and Riga are possible new routes
which possess a high traffic potential to/from GZP. With the
infrastructural enhancements at the airport, a wider range of
aircraft including A320s and B737-800s are capable to operate
GZP flights.

You may enjoy the smooth operations at a totally new airport,
equipped with the latest technology. We can proudly speak of a
30 min turnaround time for a typical A-320.
A major capacity enhancement project was completed in 2014
in GZP, which added 6,000 m2 of terminal area and 3 additional
aircraft parking spaces. In addition, runway extension project
is underway to extend the runway to 2,350 m from 2,000 m. The
extension is expected to be completed within 2015. With all the
capacity enhancements, GZP capacity is expected to triple.
