Balta is the leading European carpet manufacturer and
has decades of experience in the production of easy-toclean carpets in polypropylene fibres. Balta draws on
this know-how to constantly improve the raw materials
used. The materials used for Crossley Stainsafe® carpets
are selected with the greatest care and conform to the
toughest standards.

with a clean white kitchen cloth. Then
treat the stain with a cloth soaked in
soap suds and then dab it off again,
until no further dirt adheres to the cloth.
Important: Only repeat dabbing with
clean water and remove soap residues

Vacuum regularly
To preserve your carpets beauty and
appearance for a long time, we
recommend that you vacuum the carpet
at least twice a week, especially high
traffic areas. We recommend a vacuum
cleaner with rotating soft brushes. This
is the best way of removing deep-down
dirt and the carpet pile will recover more
quickly.

Place mats in the entrance to your house
to trap the dirt. This will stop outside dirt
from getting onto your carpet. Bear in
mind that a dark carpet won’t show dirt
and stains as much as a light carpet will.

WARRANTY-CONDITIONS
•The carpet needs to be fitted in single family residential
indoor areas for which it is suitable within the UK or
Ireland.

CROSSLEY STAINSAFE® WARRANTY
•The carpet needs to be properly installed by a qualified
fitter on a solid floor and in the approved manner in
accordance with British Standard BS5325.
We guarantee to replace any carpet
protected by this warranty which has a food
or drink stain that cannot be removed by
a professional cleaner within the limits of
the warranty.
•The carpet must be maintained professionally on a
regular basis, using products and machinery of good
quality. Recorded evidence should be kept. The necessary
protection measures, such as doormats, must be taken.
•The warranty is only valid for a 1st grade Balta carpet sold
under the Crossley brand.
•The warranty is limited to the room involved
•The warranty only applies for the 1st buyer, provided that
the original purchase invoice can be submitted.
First treat the stain following the recommendations
included in the table of this brochure.
•The warranty is only valid if applied for by registering
online on www.crossleywarranty.co.uk or by
sending a registration card (date of post is valid) within
3 months after the date of purchase.
If you don’t succeed in removing the spot, the after
sales service team is at your disposal at the direct
number 0800 964 989, from Monday to Friday from
7:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.
•The warranty only applies on the purchase value of the
carpet with an annual writing-off of 10% (10Y Warranty),
7% per year, 2% for the final year (15Y Warranty)
and 5% per year (20Y Warranty). (E.g. for a 10 Year
warranty: first year after purchase 100%, 2nd year 90%,
3rd year 80%, etc.)
If the stain persists even after the help of the telephone
service, we will ask you to agree sending a cleaning
professional selected by Balta to your home to solve
the problem.
•This warranty does not cover the fitting costs and possible
other additional costs.

cleaning costs. The entire carpet of the room
concerned will be replaced by an equivalent carpet
within the limits of the warranty conditions.

In the event that this professional cleaner succeeds
in removing the spot in compliance with the “stain” ILVER WARRAN
definition (1) or if this is a stain excluded from the
warranty, you agree to pay the costs involved.
•(1) Definition of a “Stain”: By “stain” we understand a
permanent modification greater than one unit on the grey
scale ISO 105-A03 (1993).
•In case of dispute, Balta will appoint an independent
expert who will inspect the carpet on site.
