Designed with EST Freeride Rocker, the VJJ dominates deep snow and rips hardpack on the way back to the lift. The UltraLight Core and AR50 sidewall construction ensure this ski will be light and durable. The TSTw has tip rocker and no tail rocker. This powerful combination leads to the float and initiation of tip rocker and drive and stability of a traditional cambered ski. The TSTw is truly an all mountain ski that feels perfect in all conditions from powder to groomers. The ARVw has been revamped with AR50 sidewall construction, a Hybrid Ultralight core, and our new AR Nose Rocker. To ensure smooth, fast acceleration we’ve upped the ante with a Comp Series Base. The updated ARVw is an on-piste charger that still maintains the forgiveness and response for which the original was lauded. All components are built for maximized ruggedness while strict textile performance specifications ensure optimum strength and must pass Gore’s toughest test conditions and most aggressive rainstorm test. Our GORE-TEX® Pro 3-layer construction comprises a special high performance GORE-TEX® membrane bonded to a tough outer material and Gore’s patent pending Micro Grid Backing. The benefit is no movement between the three layers, which means greater durability, and an incredibly strong yet lightweight garment. Roomy without being baggy, the Standard Fit is the latest generation of our signature fit. GORE-TEX® Our Progressive jacket fit has quickly become a team favorite. Slightly slimmer through the body and 2” longer than our standard fit, it provides the perfect length while eliminating excess width to keep you light and mobile. A common refrain among some team members was "not wider, just longer." Our Long Fit adds 4” of length to the garment without the extra width from sizing-up. Armada garments engineered with GORE-TEX® product technology are durably waterproof and wind-proof combined with optimized breathability. MICROGRID BACKING TECHNOLOGY Used in our GORE-TEX® Pro 3L products, this technology improves garment comfort and performance using an innovative patent pending internal backer fabric. This technology improves internal abrasion and snag resistance, enhances garment breathability and decreases garment weight. It also allows the garment to slide easily over mid-layers. Developed to deliver a high standard of performance and a multitude of looks, our MegaRex Fabric is a two-layer fabric with a waterproof/breathable laminate or coating with a DWR finish. MegaRex is durable, delivering excellent waterproofing and breathability in two ratings: 10,000mm/10,000g and 15,000mm/15,000g. 40 40 Our Standard pant fit is our signature fit we established with our first line. Updated for 13/14, a more tailored fit that tapers to an articulated knee to optimize mobility in a fashion forward cut. New for our Vector series, Tech Fit uses an articulated cut to improve mobility when skiing and hiking. 41 41 Down insulation is our warmest insulation and offers an unrivaled low weight and compressibility. All Armada Outerwear is 100% seam sealed. Every seam is taped or welded to provide complete waterproofing of the garment. Fill-Power measures volume in cubic inches that one-ounce of takes up in a cylinder. The higher the number, the lighter and more compressible the insulation is since less down is needed to create the loft required to insulate well. GORE-TEX® PRO 3-LAYER Down 750 is down insulation that reaches a minimum 750 fill-power. YKK’s AQUAGUARD® Water Repellent Zippers are used to seal off our garments from the elements. Both the AQUAGUARD COIL and AQUAGUARD VISLON are used in our line. The AQUAGUARD VISLON has the advantage of plastic teeth that run smoother in winter weather and provide more opportunity for color combinations. Down 600 is down insulation that reaches a minimum 600 fill-power. YKK Zippers are used as our standard throughout the line to provide quality zippers you can count on. Our PolyFill is a lightweight, high-loft insulation made from fine polyester fibers. The Reactive Hood System provides the ability to easily react to changing mountain weather. The system utilizes a 3-way adjustment, accessible from inside and outside the jacket, and a quick release pull to instantly loosen the hood. All excess bungee stores out of your way inside the jacket. PolyFill Insulation Low Loft Our PolyFill Low Loft is a lightweight, compact insulation made from fine polyester fibers. The Low Loft version is used when less bulk is desired. RECCO® Armada strongly supports mountain safety and avalanche education. If you spend any time out of bounds, we urge you to get educated and be properly equipped. To further strengthen our commitment, we are proud of our partnership with RECCO to provide their reflectors in our outerwear line. Our SuperFlo Lining System is our strategically placed lining system for our 2-layer garments. It was developed to maximize function and comfort by allowing heat and moisture to escape easily, and provide snag-free layering and extra warmth in just the right places. Our jackets are lined with smooth-faced fleece in the shoulders to provide warmth while its face allows the jacket to slide during activity and allow proper alignment. Two types of mesh line the rest of the interior. Our custom printed mesh is used in the body for the combination of warmth and breathability while its slick-face ensures great mobility by allowing snag-free movement between layers. Last, the under arm area is lined with a large open-mesh for maximum airflow and quick temperature regulation. RECCO® is an avalanche rescue system utilized by 600 rescue organizations worldwide to facilitate the rapid location of burials. The two-part system consists of a detector used by organized rescue groups and reflectors that are integrated into apparel, helmets, protection gear or boots. Together they enable directional pinpointing of a victim’s precise location using harmonic radar but are not a substitute for a transceiver. Complementary in function, the system is an additional tool that does not interfere with avalanche dogs, transceiver searches or probe lines. The RECCO® system facilitates a faster organized search and increases the chance of being found in time. HELMET COMPATIBLE HOOD All our hoods are designed to be fully functional while wearing a helmet. The carefully shaped hood design keeps you protected while allowing a full range of motion while skiing. Our supported brims keep your face sheltered from snow and rain. STANDARD FIT LONG FIT TEAM FIT GORE-TEX® 3-LAYER Armada garments engineered with GORE-TEX® 3L product technology are durably waterproof and wind-proof combined with optimized breathability. Our GORE-TEX® outerwear is guaranteed to maximize the wearer’s protection and comfort. An intermediate fit with subtle shaping and generous length for the ultimate in comfort and mobility. FLANNEL BACKER TECHNOLOGY Used in our Womens GORE-TEX® 3L products, this technology improves garment comfort and performance using a soft flannel internal backer fabric. This technology improves the warmth and reduces noise. Developed to deliver a high standard of performance and a multitude of looks, our MegaRex Fabric is a two-layer fabric with a waterproof/breathable laminate or coating with a DWR finish. YKK® AQUAGUARD® Water Repellent Zippers YKK’s AQUAGUARD® Water Repellent Zippers are used to seal off our garments from the elements. Both the AQUAGUARD COIL and AQUAGUARD VISLON are used in our line. The AQUAGUARD VISLON has the advantage of plastic teeth that run smoother in winter weather and provide more opportunity for color combinations. Fill-Power measures volume in cubic inches that one-ounce of takes up in a cylinder. The higher the number, the lighter and more compressible the insulation is since less down is needed to create the loft required to insulate well. YKK Zippers are used as our standard throughout the line to provide quality zippers you can count on. Down 750 is down insulation that reaches a minimum 750 fill-power. Down 600 is down insulation that reaches a minimum 600 fill-power. Reactive Hood System The Reactive Hood System provides the ability to easily react to changing mountain weather. The system utilizes a 3-way adjustment, accessible from inside and outside the jacket, and a quick release pull to instantly loosen the hood. All excess bungee stores out of your way inside the jacket. Our PolyFill is a lightweight, high-loft insulation made from fine polyester fibers. GORE-TEX® PRO 3-LAYER PolyFill Insulation Low Loft Our PolyFill Low Loft is a lightweight, compact insulation made from fine polyester fibers. The Low Loft version is used when less bulk is desired. RECCO® Armada strongly supports mountain safety and avalanche education. If you spend any time out of bounds, we urge you to get educated and be properly equipped. To further strengthen our commitment, we are proud of our partnership with RECCO to provide their reflectors in our outerwear line. Our SuperFlo Lining System is our strategically placed lining system for our 2-layer garments. It was developed to maximize function and comfort by allowing heat and moisture to escape easily, and provide snag-free layering and extra warmth in just the right places. Our jackets are lined with smooth-faced fleece in the shoulders to provide warmth while its face allows the jacket to slide during activity and allow proper alignment. Two types of mesh line the rest of the interior. Our custom printed mesh is used in the body for the combination of warmth and breathability while its slick-face ensures great mobility by allowing snag-free movement between layers. Last, the under arm area is lined with a large open-mesh for maximum airflow and quick temperature regulation. RECCO® is an avalanche rescue system utilized by 600 rescue organizations worldwide to facilitate the rapid location of burials. The two-part system consists of a detector used by organized rescue groups and reflectors that are integrated into apparel, helmets, protection gear or boots. Together they enable directional pinpointing of a victim’s precise location using harmonic radar but are not a substitute for a transceiver. Complementary in function, the system is an additional tool that does not interfere with avalanche dogs, transceiver searches or probe lines. The RECCO® system facilitates a faster organized search and increases the chance of being found in time. 100% Seam Sealed All Armada Outerwear is 100% seam sealed. Every seam is taped or welded to provide complete waterproofing of the garment. HELMET COMPATIBLE HOOD All our hoods are designed to be fully functional while wearing a helmet. The carefully shaped hood design keeps you protected while allowing a full range of motion while skiing. Our supported brims keep your face sheltered from snow and rain. Our pant cuffs are reinforced with Bemis Overlay Film to increase overall strength and abrasion-resistance. Our jacket to pant interface provides a simple connection between your jacket’s powder skirt and your pant. Our mesh goggle pocket stretches to hold your bulky accessories, and is strategically placed, so these items contour to the narrowest part of your body to preserve mobility, comfort, and appearance. Our Thermal Lining System is designed to enhance the performance of our insulated garments by providing warmth with brushed tricot fleece panels at the upper shoulders and core, whole smooth taffeta panels provide mobility and reduce bulk for better articulation.
