A warm welcome to the
Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
For over 90 years, guests of the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge have
experienced the very best in service, hospitality, and dining. Our In Room
Dining menu presents a selection of offerings for you to enjoy in the privacy
and comfort of your room. Should there be anything you would like that is
not on the menu, please let us know and we will do our best to
accommodate your request. If you wish to dine in any of our restaurants
there is a brief description on the following page, along with the current
hours of operation. Please note that hours are subject to change.

Cavell’s offers a casual setting with gourmet tastes you are sure to enjoy. Take in the stunning views
of Mount Edith Cavell, Lac Beauvert and Whistlers Mountain through our large picture windows. A
diverse menu adapted from local farm fresh ingredients will fill your table with the tastes and flavours
of Alberta.

The Emerald Lounge evokes a sense of relaxation. This comfortable setting, with its spectacular
view of Lac Beauvert and Whistlers Mountain, provides the perfect backdrop to try a burger from
our menu and warm up with a hot beverage. Join us in the evening for dinner as you cozy up near
the fire and bask in the rustic mountain atmosphere. It’s a timeless place for people with nothing but
time to relax.

Sit back and bask in the Grand Rocky Mountain Lodge experience. As you sit by the fire you will
enjoy the jazzy summer sounds of the classic favourites played by Morely our resident piano player.
The Moose’s Nook features only the best cuts of locally raised Alberta meats and farm grown
produce. Our chefs will share with you a delicate and upscale take on rustic Canadian fare. By the
time you depart you will feel like a part of our family and just a little more Canadian.

Dietary approaches to stop hypertension requires a very similar diet to Heart Healthy and is aimed
to maintain cardiovascular health.
Heart Healthy
A diet that will maximize intake of magnesium, calcium, fiber, potassium and “good” fats. The
Heart Healthy eater will also work to minimize cholesterol, sodium and saturated fats.
Diabetes
Type II diabetes is a chronic condition that affects the way the body metabolizes glucose, our main
source of fuel. People who have diabetes cannot tolerate foods with a high sugar content. Most
cases of Type II diabetes can be controlled by diet alone. A diet that includes saturated fat,
cholesterol, and fibre and works to minimize the intake of sugar, alcohol and refined grains.
Macrobiotic
The macrobiotic diet and philosophy were developed by George Ohsawa, a Japanese educator who
believed that simplicity was the key to optimal health. The word “macrobiotic” has Greek roots and
means “long-life.” This diet is a low-fat, high-fibre diet that is predominantly vegetarian.
Vegan
Veganism is a diet and a lifestyle that seeks to avoid the use or consumption of all animal products
(food, clothing etc.) By extension, it promotes the development and use of animal-free alternatives
for the benefit of humans and the environment.
Raw
In the Raw food diet, also known as the living food diet, between 60% to 80% of the foods
consumed are unprocessed and uncooked. When preparing raw food menu items, ingredients
should not be heated over 116 °F. It is imperative that a raw recipe contains a protein source, nuts
and seeds are ideal.
Gluten Free
Gluten sensitivity is treated in the same manner as a food allergy. A gluten free diet is most
commonly chosen for those with celiac disease. Celiac is a lifelong digestive disorder in which
individuals cannot tolerate products containing gluten, a form of protein present in specific grains
and in all forms of wheat.
