Dear Parishioners,
Next Sunday the church
celebrates the feast of
Pentecost—the official
conclusion of the 50 days of
Easter celebration. It is the birthday
of the Church empowered by the Holy Spirit, in
Christ, we continue to proclaim Good News of the
Kingdom of Heaven in our midst. The color of
Pentecost is read—a sign of vibrancy. Please try to
wear an article of clothing that is red next weekend.
This Friday, June 6th, is the first Friday of
the month. After the 8:30 a.m. Mass, we will have
a Holy Hour ending with benediction. Please try to
come and be part of the focus on the Sacred Heart
of Jesus. This will be the last Holy Hour before
the summer. The first Friday Holy Hours resume
in October.
Father’s Day envelopes will be available at
the entrance of the church next weekend in case
you need them. They can be used to remember, or
honor, with gratitude someone who has shown you
a father’s love.
