Owned by Margaret and Ian Snaith since 1988, the hotel is renowned for the outstanding
food created by their son Eric, winner of the EDP Norfolk Food and Drink Chef of the Year
Award 2012. Guests can choose to dine in either the elegant, candlelit Conservatory
overlooking the gardens, or the informal Eating Rooms, a striking dining area and bar
with a seaview terrace for al fresco drinking and dining on warmer days.
The property has been extended and transformed into an elegant hotel, retaining the
original high ceilings and cosy open fires. Accommodation is in 27 bedrooms in the main
period house, a cottage or contemporary style rooms around the aromatic herb garden,
some with private patios. For couples seeking a romantic break there is the detached
Potting Shed – an individually designed wooden house with in-room slipper bath and a
private, decked patio with views into the garden.
The nearby RSPB Titchwell Marsh nature reserve is a haven for wildlife all year round, while
for golfers there are two championship links courses within easy reach and watersports
enthusiasts can enjoy sailing and windsurfing from Brancaster Staithe harbour.

Dining at Titchwell Manor
Dining at Titchwell Manor has become a gourmet experience. You can choose from the à la
carte menu in either the informal Eating Rooms or the elegant Conservatory Restaurant,
where a gourmet four or eight-course Conversation Menu is also on offer with optional
matched wines. Afternoon tea is served daily from 12noon until 5pm, while on Sundays
a retro style lunch offers traditional favourites.

Norfolk Food and Drink Chef of the year 2012, has also earned two AA Rosettes for his
superb culinary and presentation skills. His distinctive style, which focuses on modern
European cuisine, is evident throughout.
The à la carte menu reflects the mix of traditional and contemporary surroundings with
a modern take on trusted favourites, created with individual thought and style, plus a
selection of Eric’s signature restaurant-style dishes.
The set Conversation Menu changes regularly and is a perfect opportunity to sample some
of Eric’s most innovative dishes; it’s served at a relaxed pace every evening with time to
discuss the flavour combinations and exquisite presentation.
Fresh fish and shellfish feature predominantly on all menus. Eric is keen to guarantee the
freshness by using local fisherman from Brancaster Staithe such as Cyril Southerland and
Simon Letzer for their mussels, oysters, lobsters and Cromer Crabs, while the award-winning
venison comes from the Houghton Hall estate a little further along the coast.

Sleeping at Titchwell Manor
Accommodation at Titchwell Manor is in 27 individually furnished and very comfortable
en-suite bedrooms.
Eight are located on the first floor of the main period house, which dates back to 1896,
including three with sea views and two large family suites. Some feature striking,
contemporary decor and furnishings styled by avant garde interior designer Shaun Clarkson.
A further 18 rooms are either in a traditional cottage and converted barn – one even has
its own open fire - or around the aromatic herb garden. These are quiet, secluded single
storey, contemporary style rooms surrounded by the scent of lavender and rosemary; some
have meadow views and south facing patios, while two have wet rooms equipped to help
wheelchair users with parking directly outside.
For couples seeking a romantic break there is the detached Potting Shed – an individually
designed wooden house with views into the garden. The large luxury bedroom has an
in-room roll top bath, en-suite shower room and a small, private patio.
Several ground floor rooms are also pet-friendly. With so many excellent walks close to
Titchwell Manor, guests often like to bring their four-legged friends – cats and even budgies
have stayed too. Visiting dogs are given towels, blankets, drinking bowls and biscuits to make
them relaxed and comfy while their owners are given a map marked with the best short
walks from the hotel. There is also an outdoor dog kennel.
