SPEAK UP.
The U.S. Supreme Court on
Wednesday (February 25,
2015) ruled (6­3) that a North
Carolina state dental board does not
have the authority to regulate teeth­
whitening services, accepting the
federal government’s claim
that the system is anti­competitive
because dentists sit on the panel. Your IACN is developing a committee
to investigate how "Chiropractic
Neurology" is treated in each state.
Those states where the state
examining board has in any way
excluded IACN members from
utilizing or advertising their
neurology expertise will receive a
letter from IACN legal counsel
requesting the rational for such a

decision. If necessary, the IACN will
pursue all legal avenues to require

state chiropractic examining boards
to have valid criteria for making such
decisions if reasonable criteria do
not already exist.
Please contact the IACN immediately
if you know of, or practice in a state
where the chiropractic examining
board restricts your neurology
credential in favor of any other
neurology credential. We are already
looking at Texas and California.
