On behalf of the “Paris by Night”
auction and dance committee,
we would like to welcome you to our 2015 annual
dinner, dance, and auction. For those of you that make our
auction an annual event, thank you for your continued support.
If this is the first time you are joining us, we’re sure you will have
a wonderful evening, and please feel free to ask our committee
members any questions that you might have.
This evening would not be possible without the generous support
of our school families, faculty, alumni, friends of Saint Charles
Borromeo Catholic School, and our corporate sponsors. All of the
funds that will be raised this evening will directly benefit &
enrich the educational opportunities for the students at
Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic School.
Tonight join us in celebrating “Paris by Night”.

A Message from our Principal
Dear Parents, Parishioners, Alumni and other Distinguished Guests and Friends of Saint Charles
Borromeo School,
Welcome to you, wonderful members of our SCB parish and school family! As one who has
attended this fine annual event for over 10 years now, both as a parishioner and an educator, I
know many look forward to this great gathering for multiple reasons. We are so pleased that we
can provide an event that both promotes camaraderie among parents, relatives, and friends of our
school families, and provides our PSO and staff with additional funding as a vehicle with which we
may better serve our students, yielding an outstanding education. While tonight we are enjoying a
bit of a Parisien flavor, our PSO committee members, officers, and volunteers have been working
nearly one full year to prepare for you to enjoy our “Paris by Night” gathering! Thank you for
joining us in our celebration tonight as we have now entered into this, the 87th calendar year of
our historic and highly acclaimed school. I am very pleased that you could be here with us for this
gathering, one of the great focal points of the school year. Whether this is your first time attending
our annual event or whether you are a veteran, we appreciate your support and attendance, and
are confident that the committee has provided an enjoyable opportunity for you. Our committee
deserves so much praise, as they diligently continue to refine the process of preparing for an
evening such as this. It is a substantial job requiring much effort, but it is a labor of love! I know
from the planning that has gone into this event that many people have worked unselfishly and
tirelessly to help you have a fine meal and an enjoyable evening, while we all are providing
significant support to our students and school. As our entire parish helps to educate our children,
we continue to strive to be your child’s family away from home. Therefore, many heartfelt thanks
go out to the dozens that helped make this wonderful event possible, especially all the room moms
and representatives, as well as our core planning group, Kerri Balaton, Caitlin Boyd, Pam Cozzi,
Renee Erling, Danielle Flaherty, Jennie Gardner, Jennifer Gaydos, Alicia Hatanaka, Teresa Hayes,
Sharon Louis, Ngan MacDonald, Vicki Oleferchik, Katie Parise, Tiffany Potter, Joyce Roeder, Beth
Shepley, Kristin Whaley, Krystyne Zakosek, and the many other helpers and behind-the-scenes
aides, along with the many PSO members, parents, grandparents, and donors that aided in so many
ways.
Thank you for being a part of our family, too. Just being present tonight means you are supporting
all of our students while helping strengthen community within our parish family. Parents, thank
you for all that you do as a parent, not only as your child’s first teacher, but also as someone who
helps foster that faith-filled community and family spirit within our school. Parishioners, thank you
for all that you do as well, since it takes an entire parish to raise a child, and also for fostering such
great stewardship and family spirit in our community. This is what makes SCB a great place, all in
God’s name and image. We wish you all a wonderful, joyful Lent and Easter, filled with countless
blessings, including much quality time with your family. Have a great evening! Vive les Saints!

Silent Auction Procedures & Rules
~Upon arrival you will receive a program booklet which has your name and
bid number on the back of it. This number is unique to you and is the amount
on the bid sheet. That number is tied to your name in our records.
Note: The number on the back of your booklet is exclusively for your use
during the live auction
~Each auction item has been assigned an “item number”.
The items are displayed in the same order as the program. The item number
will also be displayed either on or near the item on the auction table
~We suggest that you keep your booklet with you while you browse the items,
as it provides the item descriptions
~Please note that some of the items are a combination of two
(and sometimes more) items, making them even more valuable.
Please read the description carefully.
~Each auction item has a bid sheet placed nearby. Verify that the bid sheet
matches the item you wish to bid on. Bid by writing your personal number
and the amount of your personal bid on the bid sheet. Each bid must exceed
the previous bid by the minimum increment posted on the bid sheet. You
may bid as often as you like, on as many items as you like.
~Each new bid must be written on the top-most available blank line
on the bid sheet.
~Bidding may commence at 5:50 p.m. and will end after our closing
announcement. There will be a countdown to the final bid. Once the auction
has closed, there will be no additional bids accepted, no exceptions.
~The closing bid circled by a Committee Member
constitutes the Winning Bid.
~A Committee Member will retrieve your item(s) after the winning bidder
presents a Paid Claim Form.
Silent Auction Payment Procedure
~Check out will begin approximately 45 minutes
after the end of the auction. Committee Members
must have time to review and calculate totals.
We will proceed as quickly as possible.

~Payment may be made in either the form of
