After studying the pop art movement and Andy Warhol (1928-1987), each 5th grade
student created a watercolor painting of their favorite piece of candy. Taking an

tell a story about who they are. Each student was asked to take their photo and edit it
using their iPad, in a style inspired by illustrator, Peter Max. When presented together

Back to school, done right! Reconnect with friends and enjoy games, karaoke and
more. All rising Pre-K students and siblings are welcome for this event at the West
University Community Building, hosted by the King and Chumpitazi families. This
social will take place on Saturday, August 15, from 3:00-5:00 PM. It is open to
current students in Preschool 3s and their siblings.

Activities could include greeting fellow students at morning drop-off, declaring a school
privilege, speaking at an assembly, meetings with members of the administration team,
a special lunch or breakfast for their class or advisory and more! A keepsake nametag
and album of photos will be prepared for you. Don’t miss a chance to bid on this

Back by popular demand! Our very own Rev. Patrick Miller and Garhett Wagers will
work together to prepare a lovely meal for you and your guests in your home. While
leading the church and the school are impressive tasks, wait until you get these two in
the kitchen! A meal and coordinating wines will be prepared for six adults.

general auction rules and procedures
1. All sales are final. No exchanges or refunds are permitted. All items are sold “as
is.” Please read descriptions carefully.
2. On multi-unit, fixed-price items like social parties, please read descriptions and
restrictions carefully. This will describe the appropriate age of the child and the
date of the planned event.
3. Reservations for dinners, use of homes, trips, sporting events, etc. must be
mutually agreed upon with the donor, unless otherwise specified, and are subject to
availability.
4. Certain restrictions and blackout dates may apply on travel items. Travel items do
not include applicable fees and taxes unless otherwise specified.
5. St. Mark’s Episcopal School believes all descriptions and commentary
accompanying the auction items to be correct; however, St. Mark’s Episcopal
School makes no warranties or representations of any kind regarding the items or
services provided.
6. Each bid must be submitted using your BidPal bidder number using the software
provided. The last and the highest qualified bidder recognized by the software at
the close of the auction shall be the buyer of that item.
7. St. Mark’s Episcopal School is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization. The fair
market value of each item is estimated by the donor. Payments in excess of the
fair market value are considered charitable contribution to St. Mark’s Episcopal
School.
live auction rules
1. The live auction begins at approximately 7:30 PM and will continue until all items
are sold.
2. To enter a bid, the bidder will raise his or her paddle directing a signal to the
auctioneer or one of the spotters.
3. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer will be the buyer. In the event
of a dispute, the auctioneer will have the sole and final decision to determine the
successful bidder or to re-sell the item in dispute.
4. Group purchases are welcomed, however, one person must be responsible for
bidding and payment. The successful bid will be entered on that person’s bid
account.
5. The order of the Live Auction may be changed at the Auctioneer’s discretion.
6. All decisions by the Auctioneer are final. Each successful bid will be recorded by an
Auction Committee member and entered on the bidder’s account to be paid in full
at the end of the evening.
7. A verbal bid is a legal contract to purchase an item.
check out procedures
1. Bidders can check out online and email themselves a receipt.
2. If you have not preregistered your credit card and you wish to pay in person at the
school, you may do so the week of April 13-17.
3. All winners are responsible for pick-up and transportation of their items. The
Development office will be open for item pick-up the week of April 13-17.
4. It is the sole responsibility of the winner to handle all tax deduction issues in the
proper manner, consulting a tax advisor, if needed.
