This year, our auction takes on a special meaning as we dedicate the
evening to the memory of
Jane Keating Taylor
Longtime Mohonk Preserve Board member and auction founder,
she dedicated her talents and energy to the Annual Benefit Auction,
serving as Chair from 1997 to 2012, and Chair Emerita from 2013 to
2015. During that time the auction became one of the area’s most
enjoyable events of the season, and raised more than $2.3 million to
support all aspects of the Preserve’s mission.
We look forward to celebrating Jane’s generous spirit this year as
we raise our paddles to salute this remarkable woman and make
this event the most successful yet in her honor!

this critical link to the West Trapps, Minnewaska State Park Preserve and the rest of
the ridge would impact all visitors. You can bridge the gap tonight by bidding to help

safely access and experience the natural wonders of the Shawangunk Ridge.

22. S.O.S. – Save Our Species! Support Critical Conservation Science
Research
Changes in the weather and habitat loss are threatening many Shawangunks species.
The Preserve’s 120 years of climate and natural history records show alarming trends
resulting in urgent threats to many species who call the Preserve home, including
imperiled grassland birds like Bobolinks and Eastern Meadowlarks who breed in
the Mohonk Preserve Foothills. Your generous support tonight will help protect and
improve habitat for these and other at-risk species through staff and Citizen Science
research in the Foothills and beyond. So bid big – this one’s not just for the birds, but
for all of us.
