WHAT CAN SMARTLINK DO FOR YOU?
Convenient. Dependable. Secure. Bill paying just got a
little easier. All you need is a secure computer with
Internet access. Schedule automatic monthly
payments, set up a one-time payment or arrange
recurring payments. An added benefit, you might
never need another stamp for a bill again. Sign up
online at www.vbsfcu.org.
❖ Checking, Share Draft, and Loan Inquiries – Once
logged in to SmartLink from the VBSFCU homepage,
select “Account Summary” to view all your VBSFCU
accounts. Check account balances, track account
activity, acquire availability of funds, make transactions
and transfer funds to other VBSFCU accounts and make
payments to VBSFCU loan(s).
WITH VBPAY, YOU CAN:
❖ Account History – To access the history of your
account, select the “History” link at the top of your
screen. You may view your account(s) by selecting
“Detailed History.” From here, you can see each
transaction type with a transaction explanation. You can
easily export account history into Microsoft Excel,
Quicken® or Microsoft Money. Save account history on
your personal computer by clicking on “Download
History.” Select the dates you want saved and the
format you want them saved in. For a printout of your
account history, select “Print-Friendly Version.”
❖ Request e-bills from participating companies
such as electric, gas, phone, etc.
❖ Set up recurring payments in set amounts on
specific dates for a designated time (for
example: weekly, monthly or bi-monthly)
❖ Transfer funds from VBSFCU to another financial
institution you have an account with.

any membership card, credit or debit card or in your

Security Measures Taken:
❖ Encryption – For VBSFCU, Internet data encryption
technologies are in place that allow account data to be
transferred from the VBSFCU host to your personal
computer without being intercepted by an
unauthorized user. In addition, VBSFCU uses firewalls
that ensure no unauthorized access to your account(s).
❖ User Name and Password – Your user name and
password are unique identifiers that only you know. As
long as you don’t share your user name and password
with anyone, no one can access your information.
❖ SSL – Secure Sockets Layer helps ensure that your
connection and information are secure from outside
inspection.
❖ Automatic Sign Off – If your online account remains
inactive for as little as 15 minutes, you will be
automatically signed off. It is in your best interest to
sign out when your session is complete.
