This year as the year before Kennedy only had a Junior Boys’ Bas
ketball team. Basketball has always been popular with the lower
grades; so naturally we’ve got a Junior team. The efforts made, by
the players and the excellent moderator, Mr. Rosa, gave us a team
of high caliber and worthy of praise.
Too bad that in the end they--didn’t quite make it.

Miss Vierra this year has coached the Girls’ Basketball Team through a
quite successful season. Did they lose most games, win most games?
Who cares! ~ not if you win or lose - it’s how you play the game.
(sounds familiar.
At the end they didn’t quite make it but during the season the Kenne
dian team was feared. Thanks girls!

The Volleyball Team this
year coached by Mr. Gabriel
didn’t quite make it. They
tried hard, but you can’t
always win. (They didn’t
always lose either! ) It is a
wonderful sport where the
team in itself is important
and also will imdoubtfully
become more popular at
Kennedy.

JO G-A-THON
You certainly must re
member the JOG-A
THON! All the sponsors,
you were supposed to get;
the hundreds of dollars
given out as prizes; the
bicycles etc.
The Monster Jog-a
Thon involved partici
pants from every single
member of the staff and
administration.
It certainly was one of
the greatest achieve
ments dealing with staff
and student participation
at JFK.

One of the most looked forward to events
at J. F. K. is definitely the Sports Banquet.
Many students participated in this feast. Of
all the celebrities invited, only one
showed up - Gino Brito. He had an out
standing welcome. Most of the people re
ceived crests and trophies for their con
tribution. Many thanks to the organizer,
Mr. Jacob. We’re sure everyone was
pleased with the outcome.
