Brainwave theory
The brain consists of several hundreds of billions of nerve cells and each nerve cell interacts with our nervous system which controls our organs
and body. A brainwave is an electric flow generated when signals are delivered between brain nerves and the nervous system. We can monitor
the brain’s activity by measuring the changes in brainwaves. As the brain waves change, our body responds in different ways.
Frequence-following Effect
The main theory of the frequence-following effect is that we can activate the desired brainwave in a person.
In the 1940’s, Dr. Gray Walter announced the frequence-following effect stating that human brainwaves can be induced to alpha and theta
waves by using light signals and there has been numerous inventions and studies regarding the equipment that can control brainwaves to
generate an alpha wave artificially based on this theory.
Dr. Norman Shealy conducted an experiment to prove that it is possible to reduce stress, anxiety, depression, and pains and enhance memory
and, according to the result, a theory was announced that colors have an impact on the neuro-chemical center.
Binaural Beats - Binaural beats are based on the consonance theory
When we beat one of two cups lined up side by side, the other cup rings together.
This phenomenon is called “consonance”. If the binaural beat has a frequency of 10Hz, the brain is
synchronized to generate an alpha wave frequency brainwave (8-12Hz). But 10Hz frequency sound of
alpha wave belongs to subsonic range.
So, to make it an audible sound, stereo sounds with 10Hz frequency difference are used.
When an audible 100Hz sound is presented to the left ear and a 110Hz sound is presented to the right
ear, the two sounds are combined in the brain and 10Hz difference is recognized, which stimulates the
brainwave conversion.

This is a therapy whereby we can improve our mental health and assist in recovery from a mental disorder, maintain proper mental health
and further improve it through “music”. Music therapy is a behavior-scientific therapy whereby a patient suffering a mental disorder may
restore his memory, and a paralysis or Parkinson’s disease patient may improve his/her body functions through direct stimulation of music
to the body and the mind. With its relaxation function, stress-relieving function, cheering up function and etc., music is recognized as one of
the better therapies used to improve the quality of life and health of everyone.
