The students and staff entered into the spirit of the day and wore something orange. At a whole school assembly, all students sang about Harmony Day, Year 5 and 6 students explained the significance of the day and three talented students entertained us with music from other countries. Before the day all students got to decorate a small square. The squares are now joined together to make a quilt and can be seen in the hall. This was a very positive day for all our students, giving them the opportunity to think about the different cultures, languages and lifestyles that people contribute to our community. It reminds us to take a stand against racism and to promote community harmony.
